Christmas Concert
On Thursday, December 8 at 6:30pm Lilian Schick's music program will be performing its winter concert! Showcasing all the music classes in the school, along with behind the scenes support from Drama and a student skit based on Twas the Night before Christmas. This year's concert will be run almost exclusively by your sons and daughters!
We look forward to seeing you come out! Please bring a food bank donation if you can, and if 6:30pm doesn't work out for you, then feel free to stop by the dress rehearsal at 1:30pm. All the best, Nathan Woodward

Caught You Carin
Caught You Caring is a program we have in place
that recognizes the kindness and caring acts of Students. If Students are
caught caring by a Teacher or Supervisor their name is
entered into a weekly draw. Three students are chosen weekly to win a
prize.
Students and Staff wore blue on Friday, November 18, 2016 in support of Kindness.
Every moment is the right moment to be kind.
Tower Garden Update
Our Foods Option Class used the lettuce from our Garden Towers to make Taco Salad. In the Tower Gardens we are growing lettuce, eggplant, basil, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumber. We have also en-joyed fresh basil in our spaghetti sauce. It was delicious!

On November 15th, we hosted a museum display presentation. Students were curators of their own personal museums for their The Cay projects. We invited parents, other students, and community to attend. Students were encouraged to share their knowledge of the novel and highlight their individual projects.

Lilian Schick School participated in the Mixing Spoon Fundraiser from October 1-19, 2016. Profits from sales was $2166.00. Way to go LS! All money raised will be put towards year end fieldtrips, extra activities, etc. Thank You to our Room Parent Association for organizing this fundraiser.

Hockey and Sports Leadership

The Senior Girls Volleyball team had a great season that showed real improvement for all players. They had good showings in their tournaments against schools much larger than ours. Of note was a 4th place finish in Fort Saskatchewan in October 2016. The girls battled their way on Sturgeon Finals day to win 1 game in their pool and narrowly lost a spot in the playoffs by 2 points. Congratulations to all the senior girls players, it was a fantastic season!
Congratulations Volleyball Teams on a GREAT season! Thanks to our amazing coaches for their time and commitment.
