For years we have been following our vision of the cordless construction site in a consequent and innovative manner. Ever more enduring battery packs and an enormous bandwidth of machines offer you, as professionals, a safe investment for the future with the battery platform used in power tools from Metabo.

Now our engineers have succeeded in a technological quantum leap towards independence from the mains socket. With the completely novel design of the LiHD battery pack, we initiate a technological revolution and are the first and only supplier to boldly go into dimensions which could absolutely not be imagined before: An increased output of up to 67%, paired with a longer run time, sets completely new standards.

On the one hand, we can now finally operate power tools with battery packs, which, due to their power requirements, could previous only ever be imagined as mains-powered, for example, the world's only 230 mm cordless angle grinder, which we will be presenting to the public in May and delivering from 2016. Similarly more extreme applications will now be possible with battery powered machines as they perform at the same level as mains-powered tools. The best example: our new small brushless cordless angle grinder, which has the power of a 1,000 Watt mains-powered machine, and which runs up to twice as long as all machines with standard battery pack systems. This is only the starting point for many new, extremely powerful cordless machines based on LiHD.
