Note: Flower rooms in most cannabis grow operations consist of large open areas such as sea of green or rolling benches. 4’x8’ benches are frequently used to test lighting products prior to a full installation. There are significant light losses (more than 30%) when mounting a grow light 18” or more above a 4’x8’ canopy, which doesn’t occur for large open area grow rooms. The designs in this guide for the 4’x8’ benches allow the grower to achieve the target light intensity in the middle portion of the bench, thereby enabling evaluation of the lights at the desired mounting height and intensity.
