Let’s Bounce Some Light

• This is Katana and Bethany.

• They are trying to put light through objects.

• The mirror sent the light back at them.

• Was the object transparent, translucent or opaque?

What? Baby Powder?

• Hailey is trying to explain why in the world there is baby powder in this lab station.

• Oh Sa’La knows, it’s because we need it to see the beam of light.

• Light must reflect off of something to be seen.

What is so surprising?

• Jacob says he’s not surprised. He remembers that water distorts images.

• Adam can’t believe it. The objects look strange.

• He remembers that happened to our pencils too.

• Light is slowed by the liquid distorting the image.
