The world lights up around Christmastime. Do you enjoy the lights too?

One of My favorite Christmas decorations are the lights that go up—white lights, colored lights, twinkling lights, steady lights, musical lights, and candle lights.

Think about that verse that says “You are the light of the world,” and also the verse, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven” (Matthew 5:14,16 NKJV).

You are My light to the world. You shine brightly for Me, even in the little things you do—like giving a smile to someone who is weary or discouraged, giving someone a tract, being kind to those you live with, and more.

Think about that the next time you do something nice for someone else—you were My light to that person. That’s My favorite kind of light. To see you shining for Me really lights up Christmas!
