Liverpool FC's past and present players endorse the new home kit as manufacturer, Warrior reveal the Reds' new home kit for the 2013/14 season.

The new home strip is based on the iconic shirt of the 1983/84 season, which was worn during the Club's fourth European Cup win in Rome.

Following the harsh winter months, Knowsley Safari’s trio of adorable rhino calves Njiri, Thabo and Nonu are set to make the most of the warmer weather, as they explore their 100 acre enclosure.

The three babies were born in the depths of winter to the same dad, 18­year­old bull Shaka but different females Piglet, Winnie and Meru, and keepers have been waiting for the arrival of the warmer weather before they could safely encourage them to head off and explore the grounds.

At six­months old, they could already weigh a whopping 75 stone between them, Njiri, Thabo and Nonu were bestowed with names that celebrate their bloodlines.

The latest calves are the 12th, 13th and 14th rhino calves to be born at Knowsley Safari in the last decade as part of their extensive breeding programme which is managed in association with the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria’s (EAZA) European Endangered Species Programme (EEP). Knowsley Safari is particularly excited about these births as they will bring much needed diversity

to the captive gene pool and will ultimately help to bolster the captive rhino population – important should they ever become extinct in the wild.

The 550­acre Safari Reserve boasts a collection of more than 700 animals, promising a full fun day out for all of the family.

Hello and congratulations on your 10th anniversary as a band, what’s it like to reach this mile stone?It’s strange, it doesn’t really feel like 10 years has gone by. We’re all extremely proud and thankful that the fans have stood by us for 10 years and that people are still enjoying the music we make.

What has kept the four of you together for so long when most groups in the spotlight last a fraction of that time?I think our friendship is the main factor in keeping us together. If a band are genuine friends and love what they do, then getting through the rougher times is a lot easier. The possibility of us splitting up has never even been brought up in any conversation in 10 years.

This will be your 2nd time playing at Aintree, are you looking forward to it?We can’t wait, last time was a great gig. It’s a fun event for us to play. It’s a different atmosphere to the usual shows we play which makes it even more enjoyable for us.

What’s on

How is the tour going so far? Which has been the best venue?The tour has been incredible. Wembley, it is always special to me because it’s where I saw all my favourite =%$:!*+,%0*9.)$*L*9%!*#(/9"$#*'+2*3'&*&.)*S-80*%(10*came out in full force at every city we played. Loved every show!

You are famous for doing projects outside of the band, the jungle, strictly, children’s books, who’s turn is it next and what are they going to do? As a band you have always said you are ambitious, so where to next for you? Preparations are now well underway for the 12th annual Liverpool International Tennis Tournament which is set to see world-class players

warming up for Wimbledon at Calderstones Park on 20th to 23th June. The biggest birthday party on the Wirral this summer will celebrate the annual staging of the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA), as hundreds of collectors and enthusiasts will be joined by a VIP – studded audience for a charity auction of original art works.

“NEWA has a history of donating to conservation”, says organiser Marion Tuffrey. “But the hope is that July’s auction will go so much further to support the wildlife which has been the inspiration for NEWA of the last 20 years”.

Thirty­three of the world’s most talented wildlife artists have already donated paintings and sculptures which will go to the highest bidder on the night.

The auction will take place in parallel with the exhibition preview, on July 18th, at the awarding winning Gordale garden centre.

Your auctioneer for this gala evening will be the irrepressible John Crane, recognisable to millions from his appearances on ‘Dickinson’s Real Deal’. John will be encouraging the invited audience to be generous, as monies raised will go to the Wildlife Trusts, Chester Zoo and African wildlife charity ‘Tusk’.

to Music, from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace recently, is just about to release his 7th album – “The Man” on 1st July on Freestyle Records. He will most certainly win another plethora of awards for this one, as it is without doubt, the strongest of his entire career!

His current single also named 'The Man' "!* &.)*4(!&* (),)%!)*5(/1*&.)*%,='1<* "&* "!*enjoying solid airplay support and is %,()%:0*)!&%=,"!.):*%!*%*4(1*5%;/'("&)*of mine. There is also a re­recording of ‘There’s Nothing Like This’ ­ a classic love song ­ which actually eclipses the /("#"$%,F*?.)*4$%,*&(%-K<*lW(:"$%(0*O%0^*evokes a samba carnival feel that sizzles with energy, so make sure you listen to the whole album!

“The Man” album is a whole load of feel good soul, that is best listened to on a balmy summer night, preferably with

a sangria in hand. It is a cornucopia of jazz, funk soul, with a bit of drum and bass thrown in for good measure. Not forgetting the 70’s sounding horn, !%N/+./$)<* %$:* 8'&)<* &.%&* '$:)(+"$!*many of the tracks. I defy anyone to listen this on their ipod and not walk down the street nodding their head and strutting!

OK his last three albums, you may not have actually bought, because, let’s face it; they didn’t exactly set the musical worldalight. Except, contrary to his new records title, Mark Owen isn’t very good at doing nothing. So when Ben Mark and Jamie Norton, his long­time song writing partners turned up, what he’s done for most of his life naturally became the focus. How would you describe your new movie?Teen Beach Movie is about a girl (McKenzie) and a guy (Brady) who gets transported into a classic beach movie! Where did you shoot the movie?We shot Teen Beach Movie in Puerto Rico – and it was incredible there. Puerto Rico is an American territory, ='&* "&*5)),!* ,"K)*0/'R;)*,)5&*&.)*-/'$&(0*when you get there. There’s much 1/()*/5*%*!%,!%*;"=)*%$:*%*>%&"$*5)),*&/*P')(&/*g"-/*&.%$*&.)*()!&*/5*A1)("-%2

"I AM OFTEN ASKED WHAT THE ROLE OF A PR DOES AND HOW LONG BEFORE A CLIENT SEE’S RESULTS"

From my professional experience, I can tell you that a single distribution of a media press release is rarely effective. Most of the time, editors and reporters are working on multiple stories at once and need some time to consider your pitch. Although your release may indeed be interesting and newsworthy, the editor may simply not have the space to use your pitch at that point in the media outlet’s editorial calendar. So make sure he/she sees it again when that editorial calendar opens up a few weeks down the line. Keep in mind also that because media bodies receive so many media releases and story pitches these days, it can sometimes take them weeks before they actually get to see something you may have sent them. That’s why it’s important to conduct extensive media follow­ups over the course of several months to ensure media reception, proper media digestion and hopefully media acceptance of your release or pitch.I tell my clients, “No PR agency or publicist in the world can FORCE the media to use their releases, but they CAN make sure that by the end of the campaign, the media has seen or heard about their brand in one form or another – which will lead to solid media coverage.”

Most new product publicity campaigns are best suited for the 3 – 6 month period allowing for the often drawn out lead­times of some media bodies.After the initial launch of the campaign, be prepared to spend at least an hour or two each day maintaining it: conducting numerous media follow­ups and making new media pitches, (emails, faxes, mailings %$:*+./$)*-%,,!Jm*5',4,,"$#*1):"%*()e')!&!*H5/(9%(:"$#*product photos, media kits/product samples) and tracking articles and features.

The Best advice I can give is GIVE IT TIME , as we all know in order to gain true momentum it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 months for a PR campaign to start to see results !

They have all the best bizarre ideas of how to out­do the last party, and a skies the limit budget to boot! I had a chat recently with Steven Duggan, the world famous celebrity party planner, we talked about dwarves, Rihanna and 2 million pound budgets!

Hi Steven, what makes a celebrity party planning different from normal party planning? Apart from the budget of course!Planning an event for celebrities is much the same as designing for any other individual. There are extra points to consider including the security of your client, )N&()1)* -/$4:)$&"%,"&0* %$:* 4&&"$#* "$&/* &.)"(* ='!0* &"1)* !-.):',)* &/* %!K* ;"&%,*questions of course.

Celebrities are famous for requesting weird and wonderful things at their parties, what’s the most unusual party you have planned?There have been some weird and wonderful things requested to date! Mostly wonderful however! We staged a wedding proposal with seven dwarves in the past which was different but fun. Celebrities will usually focus on branding and clever purpose built events. From being in the industry and seeing what's on offer &.)0*%()*'!'%,,0*5%1","%(*9"&.*_&.)*,//K_2*W&.)(*9/$:)(5',*&."$#!*"$-,':)*&.)"(*-./"-)*of bouquet or requesting dramatic features to impress.

Who would you love to plan a party for?My personal preference would be Rihanna. What’s the biggest budget you have had to work with?6)*9/(K*9"&.*%$0*=':#)&*%*-,")$&*1%0*.%;)*9.)&.)(* "&*=)*aUTTT*/(*aU*1",,"/$2*Some clients want to blow their guests away and trust in me to pull off something =()%&.&%K"$#*%$:*1%#"-%,2*W$* &.)*/&.)(*.%$:<*/&.)(*-,")$&!* ()e')!&* !/1)&."$#*quite subdued and personal to their guests and requirements. So it varies massively, which is nice.

What has been your most rewarding party to plan so far?The most rewarding would have been a corporate Christmas Narnia event we did for a private client. We built large draped white walls, ice arches, giant themed %$"1%,*+(/+!*%$:*!/1)*!&'$$"$#*,"#.&"$#*+(/[)-&"/$!2*L&*1%K)!*%*.'#)*:"55)()$-)*if the planning process includes shaded drawings and visuals to give the client a realistic impression of the plans. Guests were very impressed by what they say and our Narnia acts were full body painted and wore original themed costumes.

Many of my readers might not have the budget to employ you as their party planner, but can you give a few top tips on planning a good party, and giving it that polished look that you get at one of your events?Being inventive and creative with planning a good party involves studying characteristics, style and a having vision. Boldly mixing established, emerging and retro artists with top DJs playing until 5am, the Wickerman Festival (26th & 27th July) is one of Scotland’s leading independent music festivals. Hosted on a

working farm, in the picturesque Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland, it attracts music lovers from all over the UK. Its ten stages present an eclectic and often surprising mix of leading artists as well as alternative acts and up and coming talent. From dance and electronica, to rock, indie, reggae and punk, Wickerman prides itself on catering for every music taste.

Accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant of Liverpool, Dame Lorna Muirhead, Her Royal Highness was given a tour of the centre by the NSPCC’s regional head of service Bernadette Oxley, and met with members of staff and practitioners to hear about the charity’s pioneering services. These include programmes to protect children under one, a programme to support children in care and one to help children in high risk families. From their beginnings in the Lemon Lounge 7 years ago, they’ve attempted and succeeded in throwing some hugely individual events and outstanding parties with (the likes of Innervisions, Zoo Project and Bedrock.)

While this unique show endeavours to bring some of the best artists and quality music to Liverpool this June, the real reason behind this event is to raise awareness of the Claire House Children’s Hospice. In association with the charity, the Luciano and Friends show hopes to raise money and spread the word about the amazing work taking place at the hospice, providing respite, care and counselling for terminally ill children and their families... a fantastic team of expert nurses and individuals that desperately need our support.

Spanning across three venues, the main event will be held from 5pm­1am, with a pre party in one of Liverpool’s coolest spots followed by an after party until 6am. Liverpool’s mUmU will host the after party main room, well known throughout Liverpool, London and beyond, their signature off­the­radar parties always pool together the quality sounds of house and techno. Freeze’s new project Little Sister will take care of room 2, looking after the left of centre booking they have shows pencilled in with the likes of Boarder Community and Kompakt, so expect something similar this June.

This is one Luciano visit that should not to be missed. As the line­up continues to grow and we carry on nurturing this incredible event, make sure you are a part of this epic night.
