It began with a Youth Rally at 3:00pm on Sabbath at the Harvest Centre in Rotorua. God shared a powerful message there through the guest speaker, Pr Keli Pepa, alongside a blend of inspiring worship, video testimonies and a lot of fun connections. A theme of “Speak Life” was communicated through each of these components, which is about raising a positive response towards the very real experience of suicide. One new feature of our tournament was that each team was given a devotional card after morning worship, and the challenge was offered for captains to lead their team in their own time of worship in between games that was about “Speak Life.” Many teams did this, and the overall sense of the day was that it was an even more organized and connected day with God. God has responded

There are 1,189 chapters in the Bible. Only two describe a time that’s trouble-free. Genesis 1-”In the begining ….” And Genesis 2-” Creation was completed.” Then, abruptly, comes chapter 3-”Now the serpent….” This is our life. Because of wrong choices by created beings, we find we are not on a picnic; we are in a battle. Ultimately, we receive victory, justice and restoration. But along the way, there is challenge, suffering, waiting. Praise God for blessings we enjoy, while we engage the battle! There is cause, there is reason, there is purpose. We face unknowns.

But God has shared a big picture-he has responded to our “Why?”

Youth “Speak Life” in Rotorua It was a weekend like never before for hundreds of our youth & young adults in Rotorua on Sab-bath 22nd and Sunday 23rd February. A QR code was thread-ed throughout the Rally and Touch Tournament to all youth which linked towards a resource page that you too can see and share here. Youth left the Rally saying how it was real, deep

and the best they had with God.

The touch Tournament was equally as successful. The annual tournament moved to a new and better location at the Westbrook Fields (beside the Rotorua International Stadium). In partner-ship with the Rotorua Touch Association, our team of leaders provided a quality and enjoyable day of touch rugby for 30 teams. One new feature of our tournament was that each team was given a devotional card after morning worship, and the challenge was offered for captains to lead their team in their own time of worship in between games that was about “Speak Life.” Many teams did this, and the overall sense of the day was that it was an even more organized and connected day with God.
