Machine Set Up: Before powering the unit on, make sure the both connectors of the Coil are plugged into the machine. To plug in, line up the notches on the coils with the slats on the plugs, and turn a quarter turn. Slide 5 LifePulse Equine PEMF Training Module 1 2.Machine Operation: The Dial turns the Pulse Intensity up (Slow Pulse)or down (Fast Pulse) The Green button turns the machine on The Red Button turns the machine off The timer adjusts the automatic shut off The usage clock shows the total time the machine has been turned on. Machine Maintenance The following are the PEMF Systems (the factory)recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures: Use a vacuum monthly to remove dust and debris from the fan openings Use high pressure air or computer air cleaner on and around switches and dials Return the machine to the factory for service before your warranty runs out Regularly clean the coils with clean soap and water or sanitary wipes Do not submerge if there are breaks in the hose Factory does not recommend figure 8 usage for the big coil Slide 7 LifePulse Equine PEMF Training Module 1 4. Machine Travel and Shipping EquiPulse will pass TSA inspection and be approved for travel When flying, it is recommended to check machine in an oversized suitcase or duffle bag with extra clothing or packaging as protection. The machine and coils weighs approximately 34 pounds. Check to be sure the maximum weight of a checked bag before extra charges. Identify as a Medical/Veterinary device and carry brochure or business card as back up documentation. When shipping, pack device in a box able to withstand a 5 foot drop. Slide 8 LifePulse Equine PEMF Training Module 1 5. Treatment Precautions and Disclaimers Always start each treatment at a very low intensity (fast pulsing) and gradually increase intensity. Treatments should never hurt or cause discomfort. More intensity is not better. First time treatment times should be limited to 10 minutes per area and 20 minutes per area for 2 nd time treatments Do Not Treat any person that is pregnant, has a pace maker or an implanted electronic device, is on Blood Thinners or Chemotherapy, Do not treat near cell phones, credit cards, hotel keys, car keys with imbedded chips or jewelry. Do Not Treat any Horse that is currently being treated for EPM or is pregnant.
