Thursdays 10:00am to 12:00pm 28 Cecil Avenue, Cannington. CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH CLASS This group is designed for community members wishing to improve their English speaking skills. Tuesday Mornings (9:30am to 11:30am) or Afternoons (12:00pm to 2:00pm) and Wednesday Mornings (9:30am to 11:30am) 28 Cecil Avenue, Cannington. WOMEN’S MULTICULTURAL SUPPORT GROUP This support group encourages the health and well- being and, personal and social development of women from all cultural backgrounds. EARLY YEARS PROGRAM

Our early years program provides families with the opportunity to play, learn and talk with other parents at our supported groups.

SUPPORTED MULTICULTURAL PLAYGROUPS

Our Supported Multicultural Playgroups provide opportunities for parents and their children to enhance their relationships, increase their skills and confidence to develop valuable social and family support networks. Facilitated by an experienced Playgroup Leader, the groups can also assist parents by providing parenting information and referrals to other family services.

Supported Multicultural Playgroups meet four times a week for two hours during school terms.

Mondays and Thursdays 10:00am to 12:00pm

PARENTS AND BABIES GROUPS

Our Parents and Babies Groups are weekly sessions for parents to attend with their babies (aged birth to 18 months) to share experiences, get parenting information, make new friendships and enjoy parenthood.

Our Parents and Babies Groups meet weekly during school terms.

South Bentley Community CentreCnr Hillview Place and Hillview Terrace

YOUTH SUPPORT & MENTORINGOur Young Active Parents Program (YAPP) provides support to pregnant young women and young parents aged 15 to 21 years within the South East metropolitan area.

YAPP gives young parents the opportunity to meet and connect with other young parents and their babies in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The program includes:

• parenitng skills development,

• social and interpersonal skills development and,

• access to flexible education, training and employment options.

YAPP meets weekly.

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES

Communicare’s Family Support Services provide support to families with children and youth (birth to 18 years) and individuals living within the City of Canning and surrounding areas. Information, options and support can be provided depending on individual need.

Services include:

• Youth Support and Mentoring For young parents including individual consultations.

• Early Years Program

Supported groups for families with pre-school aged children.

• Facilitated Groups In response to the community’s identified needs and interest.

• Information about the Canning Area for Children and Families and Links to Services

Such as community education, playgroups, sporting groups, child care options, support services, counselling, government and financial assistance and events.
