Sean distributes loaves of bread at

the end of an outreach in the South

Bronx. The South Bronx is the poorest

    congressional district in the United

    States.

I WANT TO LIVE LIKE THATThese lines from the Sidewalk

Prophets song Live Like Thatpersonify my life goal - to fadeaway until there is nothing left butJesus. "He must become greater; Imust become less." ~ John 3:30

Working with The Relief Bus Ihave the opportunity to live thisout every day. Whether it isscheduling volunteers, creating aninternship program, stumblingthrough a conversation in theBronx entirely in Spanish, clipping

Angel's nails in Harlem, orscooping soup in Chelsea Park,

everything I do is an opportunityto be Jesus to the people of NYC.

Thank you for all of yourprayers and support. Not only areyou helping to change the lives ofthe people on the street, but mineas well, as I learn what it reallymeans to be Jesus to the least ofthese.

In May, I will travel to KansasCity for Bodybuilders, a supportraising bootcamp for missionaries. Please pray for me, that I absorball that God has for me during thisintense two-day training!

Was I love, when no one else show up?

Was I Jesus to the least of us?

Was my worship more than just a song?

When they see me do they see You?

"You know, you're always therefor me. Always."

It's a sunny late April Saturdayafternoon in East Harlem. The ReliefBus sits on Park Ave near 125th St.The early morning crowd hasdispersed. Standing near the servingwindow, Doris is stretching her sore

muscles and joints. "I'm goingdancing tonight!"

Every Friday and Saturday, TheRelief Bus parks in East Harlem, andevery Friday and Saturday Dorisstops by for some soup and somecompany. The staff and regularvolunteers are Doris' adopted"grandkids" - nothing makes her lightup more than heaving one of us walkup and say "Hey Grandma Doris! How are you doing today?"

Physically, life has not been kind

to Doris. Years ago a bus ran into heras she was crossing a street, sendingher flying. As a result, she cannotstand up straight, and she constantlyendures a great deal of pain in herback and legs.

Yet despite this and otherphysical and emotional stumblingblocks over the years, Doris is stillhere, still fighting. She is the sweetelady you could ever meet - but don'mess with her or her grandkids!

What Doris loves most about ThRelief Bus and her adopted grandkiis the fact that we are always there

for her. Even seemingly simple actslike helping her put her things in anew bag or holding her coat meanthe world to Doris.

When I sat down by Doris on arecent Saturday, she looked up at mand asked, "Pray for me please." Iprayed, and then Grandma Dorisspent a few minutes just leaning onmy arms, drawing from a strengththat was neither mine nor hers.

I am truly blessed to know andserve my "Grandma Doris."

The King will reply, Truly I tell yo

whatever you did for one of the least o

these brothers and sisters of mine, yo

did for me." ~ Matthew 25:40

Have you ever met someone so

hungry for God that they literally

    can't get enough?

This month, I began studyingthe Gospel of Matthew with myfriend Megan. Like many people,Megan craves spiritualnourishment from the Word ofGod, but struggles to understandand apply what she reads on herown. The Great Commission inMatthew 28 commands us notonly to make disciples, but toteach them to obey all His

commands. What better way todo that than to share the Gospel?

The passion and fire Megandisplayed as we started readingtogether reignited my passion forGod and His Word. There is nogreater experience than helpingsomeone discover true life inJesus. This is why I am here.

Please pray for Megan as wecontinue to uncover the treasurethat is Jesus!

"Therefore go and makedisciples of all nations, baptizingthem in the name of the Father

and of the Son and of the HolySpirit, and teaching them to obeyeverything I have commanded

    you."~ Matthew 28:19-20

Doris has adopted The Relief Bus family as her grandkids. I'm proud to

know and serve this wonderful woman!
