NCAANCAAIf you are looking to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or Division II college or university
in the future, follow these steps in your 11th grade year:
Register with the eligibility center. Make sure you are on course to meet core-course requirements (verify you have the correct number of core courses and that the core courses
are on your high school's NCAA approved course list). When taking the ACT or SAT, request test scores to be sent to the eligibility center (the code is "9999"). Begin your amateurism questionnaire.
NEW RULE FOR NCAA DIVISION 1 (Online Courses)NEW RULE FOR NCAA DIVISION 1 (Online Courses) If you plan to apply to a Division 1 school, NCAA will no longer accept classes taken online though PLATO that were taken after August 1st
2010. If you have taken a class through one of these online institutions after August 1 st 2010 please see your counselor to discuss eligibility as soon
as possible.

• Diploma– Awarded to students
who have earned 24 credits, a 2.0 GPA, and a passing score on the FCAT
– Gives students access to several post secondary options, including college, careers, and the military
• Certificate of Completion– Given to students who
have earned 24 credits and a 2.0 GPA, but have not passed the FCAT, OR have passed the FCAT, but do not have a 2.0 GPA
– Limits the post secondary options available (for example, you cannot be accepted to a four year college with a certificate of completion)
