OVERVIEW
Love Is Action connects community stakeholders, including the faith community, business, government services, non profit social service organizations, justice and law enforcement, education, mental health, civic groups and clubs, and concerned individuals, to help those in distress under the guidance and oversight of social services professionals in safe ways that diminish social isolation and promote measurable and sustainable responses.
The purpose of Love Is Action is to prevent tragic outcomes, including:
• child neglect and abuse• commercial sexual exploitation of children• substance abuse• crime • poverty & homelessness • mental illness• education deficits • unemployment • separation of children from families through foster care
Love Is Action can be launched in any community where at least one person is willing to champion the cause of improving the community by helping its most vulnerable.

SAFETY
Love Is Action is safe. Everyone is encouraged to participate in one of three categories:
• Level 1 is meeting physical needs like donating goods or services. • Level 2 is relational, which would require appropriate vetting. • Level 3 is “all in,” meaning meeting a persons physical, relational, and
emotional needs, such as in fostering, adopting, or becoming a Safe Family. Level 3 participants receive the highest level of scrutiny.

VETTED PROGRAMS
Safe Families For Children is a movement fueled by compassion to keep children safe and families intact. Through Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches, we temporarily host children and provide a network of support to families in crisis while they get back on their feet. Safe Families from churches throughout the US open their hearts, open their arms, and open their homes. SFFC has successfully helped over 30,000 children and fragile families over the last 15 years at a tiny fraction of the cost of foster care.Royal Family KIDS Through camp and mentoring club programs, Royal Family KIDS creates life-changing moments for innocent children who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Over 14,000 volunteers in multiple countries have served over 100,000 children since 1985.Teen Reach Adventure Camps provides positive, self-esteem building experiences through camping and mentoring programs for foster teens ages 13-18. The Foster Haven Intake Center & Foster Care Closet are intake centers and new clothing suppliers for children coming into the foster care system. Staffed by volunteers and available 24/7, children are cared for by a trauma-informed trained volunteer, who provides a meal and allows the child to choose several new outfits of clothing, undergarments, shoes, a backpack, and a coat if needed. Social workers can make their necessary placement calls behind a plexiglass wall that allows them to see and be

seen yet spares the child the trauma of placements denied. Foster care closet provides accounting to public child welfare for clothing allowances. Fristers provides education and support to teenage parents and children, breaking the cycle of poverty and abuse in their lives, and in generations to come.Teen Leadership Foundation/The Launch Pad empowers foster youth by giving them the tools to become leaders. This is done by providing support in the areas of housing, education, employment, and health and wellness. Handle With Care connects law enforcement officers with schools so that when they encounter a child during a call, that child’s information is forwarded to his or her school before the school bell rings the next day. The school implements individual, class and whole school trauma-sensitive curricula so that traumatized children are “Handled With Care". If a child needs more intervention, on-site trauma-focused mental healthcare is available at the school.Obria Medical Clinics provide compassionate, comprehensive and high-quality health care. Obria Medical Clinics are fully-licensed community care clinics providing professional medical consultations, well woman care, pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD testing and treatment, pre-abortion screenings, abortion education, abortion pill reversal, prenatal care, health education and referrals. Obria provides the support and answers young people need in the area of sexual health.

Abide is the world’s most popular Christian meditation app, guiding hundreds of thousands of people around the world in Biblical truth and personal reflection.All In Family Ministries is a church-based ministry resource engaging and equipping the local church to care for the marginalized, oppressed, neglected, abused and orphaned.Doing Good Works is a social enterprise specializing in branded products, print materials, and custom packaging. They employ former foster youth and give a percentage of profits to the non profit organizations that are doing good works in the world, thereby making every transaction transformational.Malachi Global Foundation offers a youth training, evidence-based course on leadership, life skills, basic business, and entrepreneurship for young people; as well as parenting programs for parents, grandparents, foster families, caregivers, mentors, teachers, and coaches with emphasis on mentoring, intentional blessing, and modern day rites of passage. Resource materials include videos, training manuals, and a TV series.Successful Survivors Foundation helps survivors of trauma create personal and professional success by helping them mine the lessons, character traits, and coping

mechanisms from their painful experiences. This is done through books, blogs, video programs, and through the www.yourrealsuccess.com curriculum.Your Real Success is a 9-module curriculum that guides participants through a process of mining the lessons out of the challenges they’ve faced and creating a plan to use those lessons [character traits, learned abilities, strengths, and coping skills] to find their purpose, live their passion, and enjoy their real, authentic, personal and professional successful lives.26 Seconds is a dramatic feature-length documentary focusing on the horrors of sex trafficking around the world. It's a documentary that peers behind the shadowy curtain of the rampant global plague of sex trafficking, taking audiences from the the glitz and glam of Las Vegas to across the border in Tijuana; and from the sunny streets of Southern California to the slums of East Africa.
LET’S START HERE
There are an estimated 1,000,000 children in the U.S. who are at risk of being trafficked in the next 3 years if we fail to rise up and prevent it. Child sex trafficking is preventable. We know the 5 signs to watch for, and we know the 1 action to take when we see the signs of possible trafficking. U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, stated that neighborhoods are the first line of defense against trafficking. So let’s begin by equipping people in neighborhoods throughout the U.S. to END CHILD TRAFFICKING.
