Tentative Schedule: Monday: Introduction to Watersheds • Watershed simulation game • Lehigh Gap/Bowmanstown bike & boat adventure Tuesday: Pollution • Pollution scavenger hunt • Watershed stewardship project Wednesday: Protecting the Land • 4-mile Lehigh Gap ecology and grassland restoration hike • LGNC riparian nature hike: birds, bugs, reptiles & amphibians Thursday: Protecting the Water • Beltzville Dam tour • Water treatment plant tour • Fish hatchery tour Friday: Enjoying the River • Lehigh Coal & Navigation history • Jim Thorpe/Bowmanstown rafting adventure • Pizza party and slideshow July 16-20, 2018 | 9 am-3 pm daily Who is Eligible: Any student currently in grades 6-12. Registration Fee: $100 per student. Financial aid is available for economically disadvantaged children. Location: Meet at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center’s Osprey House each morning.
