L.G.E. - Learning with Great Experience

The title sums up L.G. Everist as a company, doesn’t it? We have promising new employees who are learning from dedicated

employees with great experience. And of course, experienced employees are still learning every day, too!

Take for example, Russ Ruhland and Matt Boshell. Russ started

with L.G. Everist in 1978, and in 1995 became superintendent of

Hawarden Sand & Gravel. Recently, Russ accepted the position of

Area Manager with responsibility for our Hawarden and the newly-

acquired Akron plant. Like any good leader, Russ sought first to

understand the Akron operation and then incorporated LGE’s

operational processes, policies and safety standards where beneficial.

Russ made a trip out to Colorado a few weeks ago and toured most

of our sites - gathering more production and safety ideas along the

way to take back to Hawarden and Akron.

Welcome to Matt Boshell, who just started with L.G. Everist in

March, 2015, as Transload Supervisor of the 88th Avenue Transload

Yard. Matt comes to LGE with facility operations and management

experience in various industries. He is now learning railroad

transload operations through the experience of Terry Woodworth,

Area Manager-Transload, and the entire 88th Avenue Crew.

All through the company, we’ve got great teachers and avid learners - and those roles can switch at any time! If you see someone

struggling, or doing something unsafe - help them out, teach them the right way. And if you’re new to something - you’ll get the

essential training, and then spend time with someone experienced as you practice your new skills.

When we work together, we grow stronger, more productive, and safer, as individuals, as a team and as a company!

llevar a Hawarden y Akron.

~ Lynn Mayer Shults
