The University is a committed member of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme.

This year, we were one of only six universities in the country to achieve 10/10 in Gay By Degree, a measure of LGB friendliness.

We came a very respectable 224th in our first submission to the Workplace Equality Index, which ranks employers.

Nearly 40 staff, students and alumni recently made a #NoBystanders pledge, including the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer.

York St John University was proud to sponsor York Pride 2014.

Staff and students joined the parade with LGBT Staff Network placards pledging our support, then enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment in the sun whilst staffing a stall.
