Lesson 2:
Students come to the library and learn about the Pics4Learning website. We will be using
http://www.pics4learning.com/for pictures their book trailer. We will talk about using
these sited because they are safe to use because they are copyright free. Students will also
be keeping track of the sites they use to find pictures and music in a Word document to beadded to the book trailer at the end in the credits section.
As the sites are shared with students demonstrate how to copy and paste the pictures into
their documents and then copy and paste the web address into a word document to keep
track of where the pictures came from. Also demonstrate how to save the pictures to a file
in the students personal drive so that they can go back and get the picture if they should
delete it by mistake. (Remind students to save often.)
Give students time to explore and start creating. In the last five minutes of class go around
to each student and have them show you what they have created. The teacher can assist
with this.
Lesson 3: Adding Sound
Use SoundzAbound http://www.soundzabound.com/
Demonstrate how to go in through Badgerlink. Explain that this site is royalty free and
expectable for educational use.
Demonstrate how to find music and save it and then how to add it to the powerpoint.
Lesson 4:
In this visit to the library the students will be working on their projects. Before they start
to work hold a short reminder session. Have a student tell how to:
Save and insert a picture Save a web address and insert into Word for works cited State why they need a works cited page How to insert sound
As students finish up show them how to save as a video file.
