What is the Clewer Cluster?
The Clewer Cluster comprises of Oakfield First School, Trinity St Stephen C of E First School, Clewer Green CE
First school, The Queen Anne Royal Free CE First School and Windsor Girls’ School, it is a partnership of schools
working together for the children and families they serve in the local community. The group organises monthly
Family Learning Events during the weekend, working with a variety of partners such as Eton College, Windsor
Museum, Windsor Castle and individual community providers. These events are open to any pupils or
students from these Cluster schools and free places are provided for pupil premium families. These events are
great fun and consist of meeting experts, hands on experience, crafts in small groups and where parents and
children can share time together throughout the activities. Each academic year we have many topics on offer
from cookery courses, to dinosaurs, reptiles, birds, various crafts, sports, storytelling to name a few! We are
always looking for new event ideas which will be of interest to our families.
The Newsletter:
The Clewer Cluster Newsletter is circulated via the schools, before each half and end of term holiday, with events
and activities happening in the local area over the holiday period. Cluster events coming up during the next term
are always listed in the newsletter.

Windsor Castle Family Activities This winter explore the Christmas display at Windsor Castle, including the magnificent centrepiece, the 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir tree in St George's Hall, taken from Windsor Great Park and dressed with hundreds of iridescent glass and mirrored ornaments.

Get into the Christmas spirit with their magical storyteller, Olivia
Armstrong. Settle down in the glittering State Apartments and
discover how, thanks to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Windsor
Castle became the home of Victorian Christmas traditions.

2019 is the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth and to celebrate Windsor Royal Station is inviting visitors to transport themselves back in time to discover more about the origins of many Christmas traditions we still enjoy today.
The festive activities will include: Victorian Carol singers Mrs Claus Storytelling Sessions Christmas Card Workshop Wreath Making

Free Seasonal walks at Windsor Great Park: Follow one of their free
seasonal walks from The Savill Building, visiting the serene setting of Cow
Pond or take a stroll to the banks of Virginia Water lake through the Valley
Gardens. ** car parking charges apply
Vintage Carousel: Take a spin on the popular vintage carousel. Available
from 14—23 December and 26 December—5 January (Closed 24 & 25
December) 10am—4.30pm Price £2.50 per ride.
Winter in The Savill Garden: Enjoy the variety of beautiful and fragrant
plants that thrive during the winter months. The garden is open from
9.30am to 4.30 pm with last entry at 3.30pm (closed on 24 and 25
December) Adults £6, child (5—12) £2 and children 0 - 4 free when
accompanied by an adult. Car parking is free with paid entry into the Savill
Garden.
Local Choir Carol singing: Songs of the season performed by local school
children and choirs in the Savill Building on selected dates between 6
December— 19 December, performance start times vary between 10am—
