Next Generation Threat System: USN NAVAIR GFE/GFI “A synthetic environment generator used to support training, testing, analysis, and research and development.” “NGTS models threat and friendly aircraft, ground and surface platforms, and their corresponding weapons and subsystems.”
Consists of Three Main components: Simulation Engine, Battle Monitor, and Database.
CRIIS for LVC: Integrated with Electronic Combat Environment (ECE)
Each entity in an NGTS scenario has it’s own independent set of controls. Controls range from maneuvers to subsystem controls to message sending. When selected, the entity will visually display it’s current system states, radar and jammer beams, command and control hierarchy, and other status. http://www.navair.navy.mil/nawctsd/pdf/2016-NGTS.pdf Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division /// www.navair.navy.mil/nawctsd

“MACE is a physics-based, many-on-many simulation and threat environment with a large order of battle, ideally suited for both standalone mission rehearsal and distributed mission simulation. MACE provides computer generated forces (CGF), sometimes called semi-autonomous forces (SAF), as well as scenario creation, management and IOS features. Using MACE, you can quickly and easily extend your distributed simulation framework.”
