3+1 Programs

Those programs that allow students to take 80 or more credit hours at the Community College (with a few exceptions)

3+1 Programs: Defined

143 3+1 programs with seven (7) four-year colleges and universities were approved in 2012 Collaborative effort between Financial Aid, Student Records, and Curriculum &

Assessment Office

Presented to and approved by the Executive Leadership Team and added to the Board of Trustees agenda

Board approval allows us to “admit” students to these programs and they are eligible to continue their financial aid

Continued to add new agreements as they are approved

Washtenaw Community College Board of TrusteesMarch 27, 2012

60 credit program x 150% = 90 credits

94 credit program x 150% = 141 credits

124 credit bachelor’s degree x 150% = 186 credits

Declaration of a new major is often prompted by a letter from Financial Aid for 150% SAP violation

150% Limit Impact on Continued Student Enrollment
