The concept o a purpose designed loading assembly

using single ended shear beam load cells or vessel

weighing was rst introduced in the early 1980’s.

LeverMount® is the latest generation o load cell

weighing assemblies rom Thames Side Sensors,

specically designed to oer a completely resh

approach to process weighing solutions.

Utilising the established range o Thames Side shear

beam and bending beam load cells, the patented

LeverMount® retains all o the advantages o

previous mount designs, whilst providing improved

mechanical stability beore, during and ater

installation.

The top plate o the LeverMount® can be raised

and lowered under load without specialist tools. Additionally, the load cell can be removed or replaced

without the need or external jacks or dummy

load cells. Two types o load cell interace can be

specied; a load button and saddle arrangement

with expansion/contraction adjustment or static

applications such as hoppers and tanks and a

ball and cup, sel centering, option or dynamic

applications such as foor scales.

UNIQUE & SIMPLE

Many other designs o mounting assembly provide athreaded jacking eature which allows a vessel to besupported by the mount prior to the installation o the

load cells, however under most load conditions, anexternal jack is needed to raise and lower the vessel,and threads can become clogged with dirt or powder,rendering the integral jacking mechanism unusable, evenunder low loads.

LeverMount’s® unique patented design is such that noseparate support arrangements are necessary to raiseand lower the vessel. The base casting itsel providesa stable load-bearing platorm prior to installation othe load cell. Once the vessel is in position and the twotransit bolts are removed, the load cell is used as alever to raise the top plate o the mount into the workingposition, regardless o whether the vessel is empty or ull.

LeverMount ® - Innovation from Thames Side India

Removal o a load cell at any time is accomplished byreversing the procedure, and requires no jacks, dummyload cells or specialist tools. Installation, operationand maintenance o the vessel weighing system is

consequently made saer, easier, switer and less costlyLoad cells or use in the LeverMount® can be speciedwith ATEX EEx ia IIC T6 certication or both dust andgas in all zones as well as certication which allowsZone 20, 21 and 22 use without saety barriers. Hightemperature versions are also available or operation upto 150˚C utilising special high temperature componentsand PTFE Tefon cable.

LeverMount® is just one product in an extensiverange o innovative Thames Side load cell and mountarrangements, with capacities rom 10kg up to 600tonnes, designed specically or process weighing andmaterials storage applications.
