Language Links General English program develops communication skills with a focus on building confidence and fluency. Lessons often incorporate fun communicative activities in and out of the college to provide real life language practice. Using a range of teaching approaches, students will develop their skills across reading, listening, writing and speaking to give them the confidence and skills to function in an English-speaking environment.

Our Cambridge Preparation courses are specifically designed to prepare students for the Cambridge certificate examinations. The courses are intense, requiring students to greatly expand their range of language, build their accuracy of spoken and written communication, and to develop writing in a wide range of styles which prepare them for future employment and study situations. Cambridge exams are based on practical, real-world English that is widely used.

The English for IELTS and Academic Purposes (EIAP) course is specifically designed to develop skills required in higher education and for students requiring preparation for the IELTS exam. Students will develop critical thinking, analytical skills and confidence when giving presentations, as well as developing accurate use of English for academic writing. Assessment is continual, mixed with regular testing and students receive specific feedback and support.

Accommodation placement services for Underage Students: The College enlists authorised Host Families equipped to host Underage Students, these host families are recommended to meet the required welfare arrangements of international students studying in Australia as legislated under the ESOS Act 2000. Families agreeing to host underage students have met additional screening procedures conducted including having valid Working With Children Checks for ALL adults residing in the household – this includes any children of the host family over the age of 18 residing in the family home.
