Peace, Guidance and Salutations to you Madam Prime Minister;

I entertain Allahs praise, there is no god but He, the Sovereign, the Holy, the Source of peace,the Giver of peace, the Guardian of faith, the Preserver of safety I also entertain thatMuhammad is His last and final Messenger.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah would like to inform you that at no point in time did we ever support anyPolitical Party in the 2010 General Elections. We voted for no one. We see this act of voting in

Democratic Elections as Haram which is a violation of our God given rights and obligations.

Muhammad reminded Muslims that The believer is not bitten from the same hole twice.

Political parties contradict Islam and also give legislative authority to man besides Allah.Muslims should secure their Islamic interest politically but politically within the means that Islamallows. Islam does not permit Muslims to vote in none Islamic based elections. Whilst electionsand voting for a political leader is committed in Islam it is only permitted for an Islamicleadership and within the Islamic System, no such system exists today this is the burningproblem and vital issue for the Muslims globally.

How can Muslims vote for local or national interest at the expense of the interests of their global

ummah? How Muslims can votes for a manifesto that contradicts Islam and compromisesAllahs sovereignty? Muslims must be political upon Islam, forging unity and self-reliance. Thiswould give us Muslims the means to engage, while at the same time retaining the Islamic valuesand dignity and avoid exploitation and humiliation both in this world and the next. It is againstthis backdrop that we make the following statement:

Waajihatul Islammiyyah (The Islamic Front) will monitor the New Peoples PartnershipGovernment in light of their promises made to the people of this nation; keeping in mindpromises made by previous Governments before were never fulfilled. Remember the promises

made by the PNM? And to date, Manning has the longest list of broken promises of any leaderin the Caribbean. We demand that these promises made by the New Peoples PartnershipGovernment, be fulfilled in the time set out in your Manifesto. Failure to do so will be met withstiff resistance. Having said that, we will also be looking very closely at your policies as it relatesto the following:

Gay Rights and Abortion

Illegal Immigrants (Undocumented Immigrants), Human Rights and Prison Reform Sustainable development, agriculture and the Preservation of the Environment and

eco systems

Accessing Information and Education reform that will balance the scale of intellectualperception.

Public consultation and participation

Health and safety

Crime and Socioeconomic ills.

Emergency and disaster relief

The continued granting of licence to sell spirituous liquors.

Interest Free Housing and Medical care for Muslims especially Muslim Sisters

Islamic Banking and the Setting up of an Islamic Court Facilitating Muslims wanting to perform Haj by forging new diplomatic and travel

relations with the Saudi Government

The God given right of every citizen to bear arms to defend themselves.

Your foreign and local policy as regards laws affecting our Muslim Brothers and Sisters such aslaws forbidding Muslim women to wear the Hijab and the Burka, laws forbidding the building ofMinarets, and whole Body scans at our nations airports and check-in Points in other countriesetc. and equally important your relationship with the Rogue State of Israel. Letters regardingthese issues were sent to the Foreign Ministry of the previous administration as well as thevarious Foreign Missions to no avail, pointing out the negative impact on the Foreign Ministriesoffice and by extension the government.

We suggest that your Foreign Ministry play a more decisive and active role in InternationalRelations especially the relation between the capitalist, democratic world and Islam.

We have seen in recent times an Israeli attack on two aid convoy to the Gaza. Those Israelisoldiers invaded those ships in international waters, breaking international law, and, killingcivilians.

The Israeli government approved the boarding of those aid ships by an elite unit ofcommandoes. They were armed with automatic weapons to pacify the civilians on board andnot with crowd dispersal equipment in case of resistance. Whatever the circumstances of theconfrontation, Israel must be held responsible for sending in soldiers and recklessly

endangering the lives of all the civilians on board, including a baby and a Holocaust survivor.

Israel has no right to control Gazas sea as its own territorial waters and to stop aid convoysarriving that way. In doing so, it proves that it is still in belligerent occupation of the enclave andits 1.5 million inhabitants. And if it is occupying Gaza, then under international law Israel isresponsible for the welfare of the Strips inhabitants. Given that the blockade has putPalestinians there on a starvation diet for the past four years, Israel should long ago have beenin the dock for committing these crimes against humanity.
