In these uncertain times and current economic climate, it has become more difficult for us to pay our bills. There has been a dramatic drop in donations; as a result, we are forced to make decisions that ultimately have an impact on all of us. The country’s current economic climate remains stagnant which affects our donors’ ability to continue their support. This restricts our cash flow and ultimately the ability to pay our bills, thus our decision to close. We have discussed our situation with administrators of other food pantries in hopes that one of them would take over operations thus allowing the ministry to continue. They too have financial constraints that do not allow them to handle the additional expenses of this ministry. As you know, we have a dedicated staff of volunteers who are always enthusiastic and passionate about serving our clients. This work involves great amounts of energy, determination and love. However, love will not pay the bills. Our plan is to close operations by September 15, 2015. This allows us 30 days to distribute food and gives you time to locate another food pantry. By dialing 211 on your phone, you may obtain information regarding other local food pantries and available services.

Re: Closure of People for People

Dear friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of People for People.

Your prayers are needed and welcomed. Should our situation change we will inform you immediately. We wish you all our best that life has to offer.

Respectfully,

Robert RiesBoard President
