May 13, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Anna James for a teaching position. I have had the privilege of instructing Anna in my English Language Learner courses at Whitworth University. She has remarkable mastery of how to differentiate for students with cultural and linguistic diversity during instruction, intervention, and assessment. Anna produced exemplary assignments in the courses I taught on English Language Learner Assessment and Evaluation. I truly believe she will impact ELL methodology and policies with fresh, creative, professional ideas at the student, classroom, and district levels -----and beyond. As a student in my classes, I always looked forward to her insightful contributions to our academic discussions. She encouraged other students, respected their perspectives, and participated fully in the course requirements causing professional growth for all of us. During one of Anna’s ELL field placements at the Adult Learning Center in Spokane, Washington, her contributions for supporting ELL access to core content were extraordinary! Her ideas moved L1 literate and pre-literate students to confident progress toward mastering English. She has an exceptional brilliance integrated with the ability to present content into visually supported segments so that every learner is engaged and growing

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Anna James for a teaching position.

She has an exceptional brilliance integrated with the ability to present content into visually supported segments so that every learner is engaged and growing toward academic achievement. Anna definitely possesses a rare combination of skills so needed in our culturally and linguistically diverse school demographics.

She has my highest recommendation.

Sincerely,

Anne WilcoxEnglish Learner Program CoordinatorEmail: [email protected]: 509-777-4418
