Her responsibilities included instruction (large & small group) in all academic areas, social/emotional development, & physical development for 22 Pre-K students. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Hardin demonstrated an understanding of the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical developments of the age group she worked with daily. She was able to adapt to each groups academic level while keeping the students engaged & challenged. She utilized many strategies to help students develop and expand their schema while assisting them in completing the required academic assessments supported in the Work Sampling System created by the Georgia Bright from the Start program & me. Ms. Hardin was particularly effective at teaching students to utilize metacognitive strategies in support of lifelong learning (i.e. uses simple analogies to help with independent learning). She supported the established expectations for classroom rules, routines, and procedures and enforced them consistently & appropriately. Ms. Hardin always had a knack for actively listening and truly paying attention to the children in order to be sure she understood their needs and responses.

To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in reference to how Brooke Hardin performed while serving as my assistant teacher during the 2014-15 school year at Woodland Elementary School. Her responsibilities included instruction (large & small group) in all academic areas, social/emotional development, & physical development for 22 Pre-K students.Throughout her tenure, Ms. I personally felt her skill set was under-utilized within the PreK setting, and that a higher grade level would benefit from her abilities. I truly miss the support she provided me & the students within the classroom.Sincerely,
