Letter from the ChairmanDear Fellow Alumnus:

As graduates of the College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM), we have seen some dramatic changes to our collegeover the last year. During the summer of 2012, the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine formally merged withKent State University, Northeast Ohio’s leading public research university, to create the Kent State UniversityCollege of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM). This partnership was designed for one purpose: to provide the nation’s best education and training for podiatric students.

From an alumni perspective, our credentials of being podiatrists have now been elevated to a higher level now thatwe are associated with a major university. Kent State University is ranked among the nation’s 77 public researchuniversities by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and has been named one of the Top 200universities in the world by Times Higher Education, London. KSUCPM is the largest podiatric medical college in the country, with an average total college enrollment of 435 students.

Although the college has merged with Kent State, our alumni family will always continue to exist and move forward. Whether you graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine or from Kent State UniversityCollege of Podiatric Medicine, being members of the College of Podiatric Medicine Alumni Association is vital tous as colleagues and podiatrists. The Alumni Association is a great network of people who believe in the podiatricprofession and are proud to support the College of Podiatric Medicine’s mission of educating podiatric studentsto excel in residency training.
