Have we forgotten about them ??Param Vir chakra is the highest military honor in our country and is given in extremely heroic circumstances..Now can we as a class come up with 5 names who have won Param Vir Chakra till date.If we can than shouldnt we also knowWho were really this peopleWhere did they came fromWhere were they born

How well do we know them ??Where did they studied..How old were they when they laid down their lives for our better futureI am sure none of us have too many answers to the above questions..From WW-II to till date 22869 heroes have died..Lets make an attempt to know 2 of them today.

Born on 09 September 1974 at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Received his education in Palampur.

Nick name : Luv, but his true nick name SHER SHAH was given by army

After passing out from IMA in December 1997, he joined the army as a Lieutenant of the 13 JAK Rifles at Sopore, Jammu & Kashmir

During Kargil Conflict Captain Vikram Batra, 13 JAK Rifles, and his Delta Company was given the task of recapturing Point 5140HEROES

Captain Vikram Batra is said to have replied, "We shall see within one hour, who remains on the top.

HEROESCaptain Vijayant Thapar, VrC, 2 Raj(1977 1999)Captain Vijayant Thapar was born in 1977

Studied at the prestigious Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi (1993 batch).

Favorite toys were guns

Among his family and unit members he is better known as Robin

Captain Vijayant after getting commissioned on 12 December 1998 joined the 2 Rajputana Rifles at Gwalior

His battalion was given the task of capturing Tololing

Nearly 1.5 Lac people were present during his last rites

Capt Vijayant was 22 when he laid down his life for our better tomorrow

HEROESSometime before the final assault Capt. Vijayant Thapar (Robin) left this letter at the from the attack area, to be handed over to his family in case he failed to return.

When you walk out of this room and you hear this song again I am sure you feel proud to say Yes, I do know about some of them

Pay homage to these heroes by remembering them through their sacrifices. I think they have earned it ..
