Sydney’s original Bondi Beach Surf School Lets Go Surfing (LGS) are leaders in surf education and skills development for kids and students. They build fun and healthy activities into curriculums, after school lessons and holiday programs in partnership with schools, universities, education institutions and the Australian government.
Former physical education teacher, mum and LGS Founder and Director Brenda Miley understands education both in the classroom and the ocean. Education about surf safety from a young age is proven to reduce the risk and likelihood of injury or death in the water. LGS take this responsibility seriously and plays a leading role in developing surf skills, knowledge and awareness amongst 5-12 year olds.
LGS provide surf education and safety programs for around 13000 NSW school children each year. Using high quality equipment, lessons cover warmup, paddling and catching waves and multi-lesson courses improve on basic skills. Beach games, body surfing sand sculpture, building model rips, beach walks and surf safety rules on rips, tides, sandbars and waves mix fun and potentially life-saving education. Parents know their children are in the expert and safe hands of true professionals in surf tuition.
