The philosophy of Enfants d’Asie
To take action on anything that can impact school enrollment :
- Taking care of material and basic needs- Providing moral support and social care of the fami-
lies- Providing tutoring according to the children’s needs
To enable autonomy and empowerment :- Passing on the values of Enfants d’Asie
- Offering an educational project suitable for every age
- Providing support for career guidance
To support the beneficiary in the long term and according to his/her living environment :
- Monitoring from primary school to working life- Preventing from substitution to the family or the edu-
cational system- Collaborating with local schools and partners for
monitoring and identifying needs
Founded in 1991, Enfants d’Asie is an organisation supporting nearly 10,500 underprivileged children in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines and Vietnam). Its aim is to support
children from very poor families to build a better future. Enfants d’Asie provides them with schooling and training, allowing them to get a stable job after their studies to support their
families and become stakeholders in the development of their country. We take action following 3 values that are dear to us :
COMMITMENT RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY
NOTRE NOUVELLE AMBITIONWith its nearly 30 years of experience of intervention in South-East Asia, our organisation is
setting itself a new challenge: to implement the accelerated development of its programs by supporting 50% more children by 2023, while continuing to improve the quality of its support for
the most underprivileged populations.
We operate in Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines and Vietnam, thanks to qualified lo-cal teams, and in collaboration with the families and educational systems in each
country.
Borey Niseth (students’home in Khmer) wel-comes around fifty young people in higher
education in Phnom Penh.
In addition to housing, students are provi-ded with personalised support as well as
workshops to develop non-professional skills, that are essentials to make a difference in the Cambodian job market. This skills deve-lopment program is based around 3 fields: English, IT, soft and interpersonal skills that
are essentials in a professional environment (self-confidence, learning to live in commu-
nity, leadership, etc.).
Enfants d’Asie has been working in Cambodia since 1991 through various programs and sup-ports nearly 1,000 children individually or collectively.
Limvouan, 20 years old, student in mathematics, hosted in Borey Niseth “Enfants d’Asie gave me the chance to have access to education and provided me with ac-
commodation near my university, which made it easier to pursue my studies. Moreover, I had the opportunity to take English lessons at Borey Niseth. I also enjoy studying all together as we can
help each other and share our knowledge.

Enfants d’Asie has been working in Laos since 1994, and supports nearly 6,000 children all over the country through 4 programs.
In Luang Prabang, Enfants d’Asie supports the schooling of 50 children from a village in
Luang Prabang.Children receive material support, including
the provision of uniforms or school equip-ment and benefit from individualised support to help them complete their education and
make their career choice.Sports and creative activities as well as Engli-
sh lessons are also offered.Finally, awareness workshops, such as
workshops on dental hygiene awareness, are regularly set up.

The day center (Drop-In Center Ermita: DICE) is a place for young children from the Ermi-ta slums in Cebu City. The main objective is to provide children with a safe, clean and stimulating environment in which to thrive
away from the dangers of the street.200 children from 3 years old, are welcomed
there, for successive sessions adapted to each age: nursing mothers take care of the youngest, whilst playful and development workshops are offered to others. Children
are also provided with snacks and medical monitoring.
Families are involved in the DICE project and supported in their children’s education.
Enfants d’Asie has been working in the Philippines since 1998 and supports more than 750 children through 3 programs in rural areas and slums on Cebu Island.

The organisation’s missions can be completed by supporting the beneficiaries with a set of programs that guarantee a comprehensive care for the most vulnerable popu-
lations.

The higher education projectEnfants d’Asie has set up a pilot project to
enable girls from ethnic minorities to pursue higher education at universities in Ho Chi
Minh. The young girls come from the remote Highlands region and have been admitted
into a university in Ho Chi Minh.
About ten young girls receive a financial and moral support until they graduate and find a job. For instance, tutors support them in their
studies and their daily life.

Enfants d’Asie has been working in Vietnam since 1995 and supports more than 2000 children and young people, in partnership with local organisations.

Thanks to sponsorships and donations, the organisation can achieve its missions over time and support its beneficiaries through a set of programs guaranteeing a comprehensive care.
