LET MY PEOPLE GO CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY SHEET 1 OF 6
Let My People Go USPG is a Christian charity which is over 300 years old. We work with the
church all over the world to help children and their families to get a good
education and live healthy lives. We also work to help families escape the
cycle of poverty and begin to make their own money.

LET MY PEOPLE GO CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY SHEET 2 OF 6
This little boy lives in India with his parents.
Both his parents work really long hours for
very little money. They often have to borrow
money from their boss to buy food. They
haven’t got the money to pay their boss back
and they cannot change to a better job
because they owe so much money.
Their boss has had an idea. What if this child
left school and started to work for him too.
The money the boy earns could pay back the
loans.
What could his parents do?

was able to pay off the family debt and save enough to buy
a rickshaw to start a taxi service.
Now the children can all stay in school, the family earn
their own money and they have a much better life together.
