Student centered-classes

focused on each student's needs, abilities, interests, and learning styles, placing the teacher as a facilitator of learning. This

classroom teaching method acknowledges student voice as central to the learning

experience for every learner, and differs from many other learning methodologies.

Learning networks learning in which information and communication technology is used to promote connections: between one learner and other learners, between learners and tutors; between a learning community and its learning resources.

Virtual teachers

the course is not taught in a classroom face-to-face but through some substitute mode that can

be associated with classroom teaching. That means people do not have to go to the real class

to learn.

Mobile learning

with the use of mobile devices, learners can learn from various locations. The objective of M-learning is to provide the learner the ability to assimilate learning anywhere and at any time.

WORK PLAN Time

We propose 2 paths (to be chosen according to the class characteristics) - a compromise between both is also possible):

PATH # 1

Orientation and motivation

Focus and ReviewTake time to introduce yourself and share a little about your background and your interest in the topic. Next, poll the audience to find out what they already know about this topic. Then, share a little about what you will be covering – just enough to peak their interest. ObjectivesTell the audience:

● Today, we are going to be learning how to find a proper tool for a specific activity and how to use it

10 minutes

Activities Teacher creates a class Google Site and adds students as collaborators. Also, teacher gives a reflexion theme:( for exemple: Where/what for can we use the Google Earth tool?)In teams or individually, students create pages in the class Site with a solution.

20 minutes

Homework / independent work

Arrange students into groups of 4-5 and hand them to research about one tool. Each group will represent a different tool. This tool can be a real one or imaginary. Ask each group to invent a name that represents their tool and its utility.

50 minutes

Activities As a class, discuss each tool and ask the class to determine whether:1. Is it real?2. Is it also applicable in classroom in 2020?3. Offer a demonstration of its use in learning a subject of their own choice.

Conclusion and reflection

When you are analyzing, comparing, or evaluating ideas, be certain to keep a clear, sharp focus on what you’re trying to do or develop using those tools.

Orientation and motivation

● Focus and ReviewBefore the class (previous homework), ask them to bring to the classroom every tech device they have and usually handle inside/outside schoolThe main idea is to make them feel important and experts on the subject - that will be the key word for their performance ● Objectives

From their personal practical knowledge, ss will be led to develop, first, their more theoretical knowledge (researching) and then to develop their imagination and creativity. Doing this they also learn how to use those tools in their Personal Learning (at school level and a precious Long life Learning competence).

10 minutes

Activities Face-to-face group work (brainstorming):ask them what do they know about the potentialities of the devices their group members brought to the classroom - for instance by starting collaboratively a wiki article (one page for each tool, made by a group of 2 or 3 ss) - they can draw a mind map and paste it in the wiki.

40 minutes

Homework / independent work

Virtual group work (wiki writing):ask them to create a school activity where they can use one of the tools they´re working about in the wiki (try to have so many different tools as possible in the whole class) - it’d be better if you give them a planning template to organize their work.

2 hours

(but ss should be given a deadline to do the homework - let´s say a week)

Activities Final presentation of each group work to the whole class

Conclusion and reflection

● Cross-curriculum writing: brief report on- what they have learned- how they expect that knowledge will be helpful for their future- what they’ve liked the most/the less/disliked in the activities - and if they think that their present classes can now live in that future already.

(this may be preceded by a live assessment discussion in the classroom - co and hetero- assessment and activity evaluation as well)

● Publishing in Internet - ss love to share and see

their work online

● Maybe they could present the work to a larger group - all classes from their level/from the entire school
