MUD SYSTEM
mud system acts as the circulatory
system of the rig. The drilling mud
provides lubrication and cooling to the
drill bit. The fluid then carries the drill
cuttings back to the surface. At the
surface the mud is cleaned and returneddo!n the drill string in a circulating flo!
during the drilling.
