6.4 General

Construction

6.4.1 The defect and the repair will be assessed by a QC-inspector assigned by TCAJV. 6.4.2 Specific areas of applications are to be highlighted to the Engineer before

undertaking repair works. 6.4.3 The defect will be measured using appropriate tool. 6.4.4 The material that will be used in repairing will be chosen according to the defect

and the dimensions. Based on manufacturer's data sheets and recommendations, the defects will be repaired as below:

6.4.4.1 Honey Combing (0 - 10mm) Depth: One of the following two materials will be used (based on availability):

PLANlTOP400 EMACO R907 PLUS

6.4.4.2 Blowholes: One of the following two materials will be used (based on availability):

PLANlTOP400 EMACO R907 PLUS

6.4.4.3 Honey Combing (10 - 40mm) Depth: One of the following two materials will be used (based on availability):

PLANlTOP400 MAPEGROUT T80

6.4.4.4 Voids/ Large Area Repairs (40 - 250mm): The material will be used is MAPEGROUT ME 06.

6.4.4.5 Tie-rod holes: The material will be used is MAPEGROUT T80.

6.4.4.6Trapped Tie-Rods: For tie rod is stuck in or trapped into the concrete the material will be used is MAPEGROUT T80.

6.4.4.7 Refer to the following sections for the repair procedure details for each material specified above.

6.5 PLANITOP 400 Application Procedure

A) Surface preparation:

1- Clean the surface and remove any un-sound or loose material. 2- Prior to application, the substrate must be clean, dry and free from oil, form release

agents, grease, old paintwork, mold or any material that may impair the adhesion.
