Advanced control logic based on RISC microcon-troller provides:

Detection Signature Processing eliminates falsetriggers and provides immunity to RFI and EMI

SmartSet automatically adjusts sensitivity andtime delay settings to fit occupant patterns

Walk-through mode turns lights off 3 minutesafter the area is initially occupied if no move-ment is detected within 30 seconds

One-step light level control set-up learnsdesired hold-OFF level

The WA-300 passive infrared automatic wall switchturns lighting on and off based on occupancy. These switches contain two relays for controllingtwo independent lighting loads or circuits.

    Bi-level Control

    Applications

Achieving bi-level lighting control greatly enhancesenergy savings in building areas such as officesand conference rooms. For exhaust fan applica-tions, the sensor can shutoff the exhaust fan relay10 minutes after the lighting relay is shutoff. Inaddition, the sensors hard lens enables it to beused in public spaces susceptible to vandalism.

    Operation

The WA-300 replaces existing wall switches andoperates between 100 and 300 volts. The sensoruses advanced passive infrared technology todetect occupancy. It detects the differencebetween infrared energy from a human body inmotion and the background space. Each of the WA-300s relays can simultaneously control a separatelighting load and each can be set for either auto-matic or manual on. Dual ON/OFF buttons allowthe user to manually turn on and off each of theloads. After a period of time when no occupancy isdetected, lighting automatically switches off.

Two relays for control oftwo separate lightingloads or circuits

    DescriptionProductOverview

Features Zero-cross relay guarantees reliable operationwith non-linear loads even with temperaturechanges and product aging

Choice of automatic-ON or manual-ON opera-tion; selectable for each relay

Built-in light level sensor in the second relayholds lights off until natural light levels drop

Optional audible alert for impending shutoff

For safety, there is no leakage to load in theOFF mode and sensor is safety grounded

Hard lens makes sensor resistant to vandalism

    Units are tamper resistant

    LED indicates occupancy detection

SmartSet technology automatically selects optimalsettings for each space

The WA-300 features a built-in light level sensorthat affects the second (secondary) relay. If ade-quate daylight is present, the sensor will holdsecondary lights off until daylight levels drop, pro-viding increased energy savings. The WA-300satisfies energy codes requiring bi-level or daylightcontrol switching. The two relays in the sensor giveit the unique ability to control two lighting loadsindependently. This provides A/B switching wherethe user can achieve half-lighting (or anotherdesired portion) from a single switch.
