Control handle (1 push = 1 selection)This handle allows, by a simple push on the sensitive push button keypad, to vary the lighting level, change the color temperature, adjust the lighting diameter or snap to the endo mode.

The KALEA® surgical light is made with a white LED central module combined with separate segments ( up to 3 ) of different colors in order to change the color temperature (T°) and maintain a CRI superior to 95.

Patented innovationSURGIRIS LEDs surgical lights are the only one to have the FOCUSMATIC™ system. This patented technology is made to keep the same intensity level with whatever spot size. It is now possible to have a substential spot with an astonished lighting level (Example with the Kalea 30: you can get a spot size of 37 cm with a consistent light intensity of 160.000 lux).

An automatic preventive maintenanceEach lighting system is controlled by an APM (Automatic Preventive Maintenance) which checks each LED module. This condensed technology allows an automatic preventive maintenance integrated into the surgical light, which is controlled and protected continuously. It maintains the system year after year.

Optical focal without any mechanical movementEach LED has its own optical system with a specific reflecting angle that permits changing electronically the illuminated lighting field without any motorized movement of the lighting body. Without moving parts low maintenance is guaranteed.

Color temperature comfortThe Kalea gives to the surgeon the possibility to select the temperature of color for his own visual comfort according to the type of surgery. The colour temperature is to be selected on a 4 level control: 3500,4000, 4500 and 5000°K.

“ENDO” modeA low light, for non invasive surgery, is incorporated into each KALEA cupola. A simple 3 second push of the lighting level controls will produce a lighting level perfect for this type of procedure.

Integration with laminar flowThe disturbance of the air movement produced by the laminar flow is largely eliminated thanks to the open design of the KALEA.

The smooth surface and absence of screws contribute to fast and easy cleaning.

Exceptional shadow dissolutionThe Kalea has a large emitting surface thanks to its geometry in petals, which gives excellent shadow resolution. The light generated by the LEDs distributed on a “virtual” diameter of 850 mm reduces the shadows on the operating field.

Great constant depthThe central LED module along with the 2 or 3 petals gives an excellent constant depth (L1 + L2 = 135 cm).

This specification is strongly appreciated during major surgeries.

Furthermore...Futuristic and innovative designThe ultra smooth petal shape of the lights is a sign of a better maniability on the operating field. Its innovative and futuristic design produces a better “ architectural feeling” in the operating room.

Respect for the environmentThe KALEA has been made in the spirit of durable development. During R&D particular attention has been paid to the choice of materials to guarantee a recyclable ratio greater than 90%. The use of LED’s which have a lifespan 40 times more than traditional bulbs means even less energy consumption.

No Infrared radiationThe heat produced on the operating field and the surgeons head is largely reduced thanks to the absence of infra-red emission by the LEDs (<1°C). The operating ambient conditions are ideal and give users more comfort.

WCT wall mounted relaylt is possible to put all controls on the wall thanks to the WCT wireless system.

EMERGILED supply unit: 2 in 1 solution (supply + emergency):Emergiled supply unit combines lighting supply with emergency back-up for 1 or 2 hours. The crossing to the emergency back-up is done without any electric microcut. High intensity level guarantee thanks to the floating system.

The Emergiled modular design (racks) allows an easy and low maintenance.

Video solution & communication

Integrated video systemThe camera is fitted into the central handle and controlled by the WCT control box. The lighting system is able to rotate totally 360°.

e-COMOT™The images of the integrated camera can be visualized in the operating room or sent to a conference room through the integration system E-COMOT. They can be also stored in the format DICOM on CD, DVD, USB Key or even the PACS Network. The system E-COMT is made to integrate itself perfectly into the data system in the hospital.
