    English Dialogue Jasmine: Wow, I feel like Ive walked into a health food store.

    Expression / Technique Master Note

    -come on: When you use come on, it can mean you are asking the other person to understand or to see

    the situation from my point of view. So for example, while you are watching your favorite TV show and

    your mother asks you to clean your room right away, you can say come on, mom meaning Im

    watching my favorite TV show now, mom, Ill clean it later.

    -weight gainers: *It usually comes in the form of powder or sometimes in pills. It usually contains a large amount of

    calories including highly concentrated rate of protein and carbohydrate.

    -supplement: , *It is something that is added to make something else complete. There are many types of food

    supplements such as protein supplement or multi-mineral supplements.

    -herbs: , , *You dont pronounce h in American English since h is taken as a silent h but in British English and

    Australians English, you pronounce h.

    -so that: ~ , , *This expression is used to give reasons.

    Ex) I carry umbrella so that I dont get wet in rain.

    I set alarms so that I dont sleep in.

    -as long as: ~ , ~ *It is used to give conditional situation. For example, A will happen as long as you continue to do B. The

    same with so that, this expression is also used to give reasons for something.

    Ex) Even if I dont have money or job as long as I have my family and friends, Im okay.

    -balanced diet: ( ) *Balanced diet refers to consuming necessary nutrients by eating the appropriate amounts from all of the

    food groups.

    -my life depends on these: It is not a literal expression. He just wants to emphasize his point that how

    much he likes them.

    -no matter how: , Ex) No matter how much you earn, it is more important to spend quality time with your family.

    **SUMMARY: It is always central to talk and pass on your points logically. When you do so the whole

    conversation flows very naturally and it is more likely that you will persuade the listener easily. So using

    right expressions can be a vital technique to speak logically hence becoming a better speaker.
