    ► upgrade seating in double seminar rooms (see excel chair next slide) Remainder of budget 2019 to go towards developing phase 2 of these spaces, (quotes attached)

    ► visited St Luke’s at Marsden Park to see such furniture in action

    ► spoke with teaching staff as well viewed the individual laptop seating as used by students in a teaching environment

    ► trialled an excel task chair (action research) on loan from Santa Sophia’s to gauge student interaction, which proved to be very positive.

    Benefits

    ► Creates a barrier between groups; favourable acoustic properties that reduce sound from other breakout areas in the Library

    ► Smaller footprint than a traditional table and chair configuration because with a standard table, chairs need to be pulled out to accommodate students

    ► Booths beneficial for group collaboration

    ► Visual evidence of use of old booths very much favoured by all

    students - indicated the need for expansion

  • ► Clickview has evolved and transformed how video is used in education, particularly in the last 12 months

    ► addition of Clickview Editor, enabling curriculum aligned videos as well as interactive programs.

    ► best resource to present ethical presentation according to copyright of audio visual as opposed to YouTube clips which have public comments posted for all to see .

    ► incorporates teaching and learning of Digital Citizenship, an integral part of students’ real world outside of school.

    ► cover responsibilities of intellectual property, creative commons, fair use, credit attribution, licensing and copyright, as well as how to develop an academic or ‘work ready’ digital footprint.

  • Teaching & learning continuum► teach Stage 6 English studies class

    ► provision of learning and teaching material is changing with new and emerging technologies along with diversity of student learning so TL now delivers ISP in diverse ways…

    ► face to face, database enquiries, online flipped classroom delivery or specific subject research areas e.g. Legal Studies, extension Science, Modern and Ancient History both historical investigations and extension major works, Society and Culture (PIPS), Community and Family Studies (CaFS - IRPS).

    ► provide direction in the administrative policies and procedures associated with the efficient and effective running of Library operations – Procedure manual updated, completed stocktake and compilation of 2019 audit report.

    ► contribute to the Library’s online presence and support departmental eLearning programmes:

    ► by invitation, I became an inaugural member of CEDP cataloguing Committee

    ► hosted EBSCO workshop for CEDP, for both students and staff from both StJP II and Wyndham College

    ► committee member of BCA analytics

    ► constructively contributed to team meetings, including the planning and decision-making processes of the team - Joint Library Committee meeting x4 per year
