INTASC STANDARD

Standard 6: Assessment: The teacher understands and uses multiple methods of assessment to engage learners in their own growth, to monitor learner progress, and to guide the teacher’s and learner’s decision making.

Description: This assignment is a lesson plan created to teach a manipulative skill to an elementary student and documents the steps taken to teach the skill and the methods of teaching and using assessment to achieve the mastery of the manipulative skill.

Rationale: To document my understanding of Standard 6, Assessment, I have selected to include my physical education lesson plan because it demonstrates my ability to create a lesson plan with the proper standards included and to then use assessment to help students achieve the mastery of the manipulative skill
