Founded in 2016, Sustainable Innovations started its activity in a small office in Madrid.

In 2017, we opened a representative office in Paris. That same year, we were awarded our first EU-funded R&D project.

GREEN TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM

In 2018, we boosted our Innovation Management Services and we achieved a huge goal by being granted 11 more R&D projects.

The first edition of the Green Transformation Program kicked off in the summer of 2019. By the end of this year our project portfolio went up to 16 European projects and more than a thousand private services managed.

January began in great shape with our first GTP Winter edition and two new EU R&D projects, adding our tally to a total of 18.

We aim to penetrate developing markets while expanding our training focus to a wide variety of disciplines and industries.

More than 11 nationalities compose a team of 20 employees.

We are currently the fastest-growing SME in EU R&D projects in all of Europe.

We plan to open our next office in LATAM to further expand our business lines.

TANGIBLE EXPERIENCE/17

Green Transformation Program

SUSTAINABILITY,STARTS WITH YOU.

The GTP is designed for those who challenge our current environmental crisis and dare to do something about it.

Built on a rotation-based schedule, the intense program feeds a rapid learning curve with a transforming learning experience in certain green fields.

The course content is covered by existing European projects led by an experienced GTP team. Starting with Circular Economy principles in the first two weeks online, leading to the face-to-face start of the program with two technical weeks in Madrid, moving to a week of LCApractices in Barcelona, and finalizing with market implementation in Paris. The GTP opens numerous doors for future employment.

The two-week online flexible module is the perfect set-up for an unforgettable journey in the path to becoming the green leaders of tomorrow.

This module aims to commence a coherent understanding of the program methodology, its respective objectives and set a clear picture of how we work at Sustainable Innovations. We call it the soft-landing where we set the tone of what the program is all about.

With guided lectures from our team & our partners, we touch on the current environmental crisis, the importance of research & innovation, different types of EU funding and collaborative projects between technology-driven SMEs.

The current linear economic model consisting of “extracting, producing, using, and disposing” is based on having large amounts of cheap + easy-to-access: energy and resources. This model is not sustainable since it wastes reserves, pollutes, and is reaching limits of physical capacity. To ensure there is enough food, water, and prosperity in the near future, we need to switch from a linear economy to a circular economy.

The Sustainability & Circular Economy course offers participants the possibility to understand how business and society can create value by reusing and recyclingproducts. Furthermore it incites designers to come up with smart solutions and contribute to an environmental and circular future

This interdisciplinary course will begin with a comprehensive introduction of the circular economy from its core fundamentals and will end with a specialization in the sectors of energy construction, water, and waste.

The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a management tool to evaluate the environmental performance of products, goods and/or services. LCA considers the full life cycle of a product, from the extraction of resources and processing raw materials, through production, usage and recycling, to the final treatment of remaining waste.

The course offers participants the possibility of learning this technique in today’s context, as well as developping different LCA stages by using SimaPro® or GaBi software and its applications in eco-design, eco-labels, carbon and water footprints.

The overall goal of this course is to develop the participants' skills related to the potential environmental impacts’ calculation, increasing their view from the Life Cycle Thinking perspective.

Aligning technical innovations on sustainable development goals while maintaining profitability is critical in today’s economy.

Environmental innovations follow a specific path from concept to market uptake. Over the past ten years, the regulatory landscape has significantly evolved towards an increased corporate social, and environmental responsibility, as companies developed new, impact-driven, business models. This course provides an overview of the global market for environmental innovations. Through these 40 hours, the participants will understand how concepts become products, what defines them as environmental innovations and how organizations innovate.

To facilitate innovation management, various financing options and intellectual property protection strategies will be presented and assessed. In the second half of the course, market approaches and strategies formarket penetration will be studied and supported by case studies.

At the end of this course, the participants will understand international regulations and markets for environmental innovations, as well as how organizationsmanage and market new, impact-driven products towards successful market uptake.
