Introduction On behalf of the League Facilitation Team and our Partners I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the gymnasts listed for gaining qualification to the 2018 League Finals.

Since the inception of the League in 2014 this year has seen the highest levels of participation.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout the years and in particular the 2018 season.

This document has been put together in preparation for the 2018 League Finals. It contains all of the information we believe you need at this stage to access the qualifiers from your club, process your entries and other necessary information.

2018 Opening and Closing of League Finals Entry

The League Finals Online Entry System

Opens: Thursday 11th October 2018 @ 11:59pm

Closes: Friday 19th October 2018 @ 11:59pm

Withdrawals / Reserves / Additional Invites

If your gymnast is unable to accept their invitation to compete in the League Finals (including nominated reserves) please inform Andrew Wood at andrew@trampolineleague.com. This will enable us to invite the next available gymnast to attend.

The closing date for additional invitations to compete in the League Finals will be midnight on Tuesday 6th November 2018. If you have any problems in completing your entry, please contact either

LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018Qualification Process

Please find below a breakdown of the qualification process for the 2018 League Finals.

Qualification - TRI / DT / DMT – Numbers Invited and the Calculation Formula

League 1 and Super League – 16 competitors League 2 – 20 competitors League 3 and DT – 24 competitors

Calculation Formula:-

- If the unique ability level/age group entry over the season is less than 32 then the number invited to the Finals will be 75% of the unique entry, rounded up to a maximum number as shown above for each League level.

- If the total number calculated using the formula above is less than 12, then the number invited to compete in the Finals will be rounded up to 12.

- If the unique ability level/age group entry over the season is 12 or less then all competitors will be invited to the Finals in order to provide a viable competition group number.

- If an ability level/age group entry over the season is 32 or more the maximum number per group invited to compete in the Finals will be as specified for each League level.

In order to be invited to compete in the League Finals a competitor must have points allocated.

There will be a separate team event for males and females in the following disciplines - TRI & DMT. Clubs do not need to nominate teams.

Qualification - TRS

The League Final will consist of a single Voluntary Round. Total numbers invited to compete in the Finals will be a maximum of 8. The top ranked 8 competitors calculated after the final League qualification event will be invited.

The competition format for the 2018 has changed from previous years. This is in order to facilitate every spectator at the event comfortably due to restricted spectator seating in Sheffield. We will return to our normal competition League Finals format in 2019.

This information has been published twice during the 2018 League season in order for you to book hotels and make travel arrangements well in advance of the weekend for appropriate days.

The Weekend Competition Format Will Be As Follows:-

LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018Accreditation

League Finals accreditation will be available for clubs to collect from the EIS main entrance on Friday 9th November 2018 between the times of 5:00pm - 8:45pm.

Accreditation will be issued to gymnasts, coaches, officials, partners and the events team. Please ensure you nominate all coaches as part of your entry for League Finals to be accredited.

LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018Orientation Information

This year at the League Finals we will be including orientation sessions on both the Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday evening.

The orientation session is designed for gymnasts to acclimatise to their competition surroundings prior to competition. However there will be a full League Finals warm up on each competition day for those unable to attend orientation.

Please find the information below.

There will be 4 Orientation Sessions on the Friday evening:

Session 1 - 5:00pm - 5:45pm (15 minute clear our) Session 2 - 6:00pm - 6:45pm (15 minute clear our) Session 3 - 7:00pm - 7:45pm (15 minute clear our) Session 4 - 8:00pm - 8:45pm (15 minute clear our)

Though we anticipate many clubs may not avail themselves of this opportunity, so numbers may well be much lower, there will be a maximum of 80 (20 per panel) for trampoline per session and 40 for DMT per session.

For those wishing to orientate on Saturday after the day’s competition concludes, there will be one session available for League 2 competitors (and any Super League competitor who hasn’t competed in League 1 preliminaries).

Session 1 - Immediately following the day’s events. There is no necessity to book for this session.

Clubs can apply for their preferred orientation session on the Friday of League Finals by emailing Andrew Wood on andrew@trampolineleague.com. The opening times and days will be as followed:

Opening - Friday 19th October 2018 @ Midnight Closing - Friday 26th October 2018 @ Midnight

Please note - these sessions will be allocated based on a ‘first come first served’ basis. There will also be a £2.00 entrance fee for spectators.

Explanation of the League Time of Flight and Form Trophies

Each year the League awards a trophy to one male and one female competitor achieving the highest time of flight in one single TRI routine at the League Finals. This height may be achieved in either the first or second routine (not the final).

We also award a trophy to the competitor who scores the highest TRI form score. This too may be achieved in either the first or second routine (not the final).

This score is calculated by removing any tariff and time of flight from the overall routine score, leaving the execution score and HD score to count. These are added together and the competitor with the highest score wins the trophy.
