José Antonio López- Monís (HLG CEO and Chairman)
highway, tunnel, airport, port, flood control, rail and transit projects, as well as in the development
and construction of multi-million private and public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
Immediately prior to joining HLG, José was Dragados' Director of Global Business Development,
reporting to the Director General of Dragados, S.A. Prior to this he was Director of Dragados'
international division and was responsible for the management and operation of Dragados, S.A.,
and its construction affiliates in international markets. He has also held senior management roles
with the company in USA, South Africa, the Middle East, Colombia, Ecuador and Ireland.
José holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and is a member
of the National Society of Civil Engineers in Spain.
Thrasos Thrasyvoulou (CEO Managing Director and Deputy Chairman)
works, overhead transmission lines, underground cabling, sewage and water distribution networks.
Thrasos holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Surrey
in England, graduating with First Class honours. He later completed the Masters of Science in
Refrigeration and Air-conditioning at the University of London with a Mark of Distinction. Thrasos
is also the founder and Managing Director of several European-based companies that specialise
in MEP contracting, the distribution of electromechanical equipment and the provision of energy
efficiency audits and studies.
Thrasos Thrasyvoulou is the Managing Director and Managing Partner of
Habtoor Leighton Specon (HLS).
Under Thrasos' leadership, the core team of HLS, under different capacities,
have successfully delivered a portfolio worth in excess of USD2.5 billion
ranging from MEP works for landmark hotels & residential buildings,office

José Antonio López-Monís joined the Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) as CEO
and Managing Director in October 2012, and oversees the operations of one
of the region's largest diversified construction groups.
José has extensive experience in international construction having worked for
Dragados, S.A. of Spain - one of the world's largest construction companies
and part of the ACS Group - since 1989.
José has more than 20 years' experience in the construction of major bridge,
Stelios Thrasylouvou (HLS Chief Operating Officer)
Stelios studied Engineering at Cambridge University obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
and Master of Engineering (MEng) specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics.
During his years at Andersen Stelios became a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and he is a
member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a member
of the Finance and Management Faculty.
Kamal Goyal (HLG CFO)
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in India.
Stelios Thrasyvoulou is the Finance Director of Habtoor Leighton Specon
and has 15 years of experience in the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining HLS, Stelios was an Assistant Director at Deloitte Corporate
Finance Advisory in London and also held management roles at Andersen's
Economic and Financial Consulting practice in London.
Stelios has solid experience in strategy and bid support, mergers, acquisitions
& disposals, investment appraisal analysis and valuations.

Kamal is a Chartered Accountant with a Master’s degree in accounting and
financial management.
Kamal has over 30 years of experience obtained in the Middle East and India,
having held a number of senior roles in financial management, corporate
finance, strategic and financial planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining HLG, Kamal worked with Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahed Al Thani
Group in Qatar.

Narayan Bashyam (General Manager-Rail, Energy & Power)
of MEP construction and is actively involved in developing Renewable energy projects with
particular focus on Utility scale Concentrated Solar Power, as well as the company's expansion
into the Rail/Metro Sector.
Costas Markou (Area Manager – UAE and Oman)
Costas began his career in the UK with Drake & Scull as an engineer, later transferring overseas
to KSA where he was promoted to the position of project manager. After a further assignment
to the UK and Qatar, he joined BK Gulf in the UAE where he managed significant infrastructure
works at Dubai International Airport before assuming the role of Project Director at the Atlantis
Development on Palm Jumeirah, later becoming Operations Director responsible for numerous
projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Costas Markou joined HLS in 2014 as an Operations Manager and was
appointed as Area Manager for Dubai & Oman in December 2014.
Holding a Bachelors of Engineering Degree with First Class Honours
in Building Services from London South Bank Polytechnic Costas has
over 30 years experience in the field of MEP contracting. This includes
extensive experience in the delivery of projects in the UK, KSA, Qatar and
the UAE covering Airports, Hotels, Military Establishments, Industrial Plants,
Laboratories, Commercial, Infrastructure, Retail and Hospitality projects.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Joining HLS in 2008, Narayan Bashyam plays a major role in the company as
Area Manager of the Rail, Energy and Power. He is a qualified Engineer from
Madras University, India, having previously worked in senior management
roles on MEP & Power Projects in the UAE, India, Qatar, Bahrain and the USA.
Narayan brings with him varied MEP & Power experience, with a focus on
power generation and power transmission & distribution including Low
Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems. At

As Technical Manager, Mohan handles all design works for an entire gamut of projects at
HLS, including several hotels, mixed-use developments, residential projects, staff & labour
accommodation projects, commercial buildings, educational facilities, as well as large-scale
infrastructure works.

Yiannis Lazarides joined HLS in 2010 as a Project Director for the Qatar office.
A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, he
has several years of experience in the field having been involved in many
important projects.
He earlier worked with ERE Contracting in Qatar and ARENCO Consulting
Engineers in the UAE, as well as A&P-Conspel prior to joining HLS, and has
also worked in Dubai and Libya in the field of Mechanical Engineering, since
beginning his career in 1978.
Costas joined HLS in 2006 as a project electrical engineer. Holding a
Bachelors Degree with Honors from City University of New York and a
Management Certificate from Dale Carnegie. He has 32 years of experience
in the execution of MEP Services. In 2007 he was appointed as Project
Manager and then in 2011 he was appointed as Project Director.
Costas has been involved in several key projects including Movenpick
Hotel, Paris Sorbonne University and Al Mafraq Hospital. He has significant
experience from working on projects including hotels, universities, hospitals
Mohan joined the company as Technical Manager in 2006, and has over 30
years of experience in the MEP sector.
He was previously Head of the Estimation & Contracts Monitoring
Department at A&P Paraskevaides & Partners in the UAE and he worked also
on infrastructure and airfield lighting systems at the Abu Dhabi International
Airport - Phase 3 project. He spent 28 years at the company building up
a wealth of experience while working on several high-profile projects that
have shaped the UAE and Qatar prior to joining HLS.

Terrence Green (Engineering Manager)
With many years of experience, Terry has a phenomenal list of MEP projects in the healthcare

He is a member of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), UK.

Fareed Al Bhargouthy joined HLS in 2008 as an Estimating Manager. He
has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Jordan with a specialization in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Lund
University, Sweden. Fareed has held senior roles related to design and
tendering of MEP works in the region.
Prior to joining HLS, Fareed spent time with Tecom & Du projects, Archdome
Consulting Engineers, Pell Frischmann, and others. Fareed has experience in
handling MEP works on major 5 and 6-star hotels, commercial and residential
Terrence (Terry) Green joined HLS in 2010, having worked in project
management and building services design management with AECOM/Faber
Maunsell and Parsons Brinckerhoff Constructors respectively in the UK, as
well as Mott McDonald and Arenco in the UAE, among other companies.
In his last role prior to joining HLS, Terry worked with AECOM/ Faber Maunsell
in the UK, and was responsible for the design of engineering services on
large and complex healthcare projects.
