Matt Blackburn has completed 54.7 percent of his passes (64-of-117) for 1.036 yards and 14 touch-downs with only six interceptions.

His top four targets have been junior Lane Martin with 28 receptions for 442 yards and five scores and Wade has 24 catches for 350 yards and five TDs. Junior Cade Savage is next with 10 receptions for 144 yards and a pair of TDs. Senior Eli Savage has 11 catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively for Stratford, senior linebacker Isaac Miller tops the squad with 85 tackles, including five quarterback sacks. Junior Landon Anderson is next with 71 tackles and has seven sacks. Wade follows with 67 stops and a pair of interceptions and senior Kyle Potter, battling through an injury but is expect-ed to play this week, has 65 tackles and six sacks. Martin has totaled 63 tackles, including one sack, to go with six interceptions.

Also on defense, senior Kyle Wright has compiled 60 tackles and junior Matt Whitebuffalo has 50 tack-les with a team-best eight sacks. Eli Savage is next with 49 tackles and four sacks. Junior Sam Langley had 46 tackles and a pair of interceptions and Clint Cosby has 40 stops and four pickoffs.

The Stratford/Boone-Apache winner will face the Afton/Cashion winner on Nov. 28 in the quarterfi-nals.

ECU cross-countryteams headed toNCAA Regional

ADA — The East Central University men's and women's cross country teams have been using the last two weeks to prepare for their next competition of the 2014 season, this time at the 2014 NCAA Central Regional in Wayne, Neb.

The men's team, which claimed their third Great American Conference Championship Nov. 8 in Ada, will run a 10K course starting at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Wayne Country Club. The women's team, which finished third at the GAC Championship, will run a 6K course at 12:15 p.m.

The Tigers will be running against the rest of the teams from the GAC, as well as teams from the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

The top four teams from each race automati-cally advance to the 2014 NCAA Championship in Louisville, Ky., Saturday, Dec. 6. Individuals also have a chance to advance to the championship, with the top three runners that are not part of the advanc-ing teams from each regional earning a spot.

ECU’s men's squad is currently ranked No. 7 in the USTFCCCA regional polls, with two teams from the NSIC and four from the MIAA ranked above them.
