On Wednesday the group went to Closet Treasures and picked up clothes for our clothes closet. They made short work of it by all working together. Sign ups for the fall retreat are coming to an end. The retreat is on October 2 at 3:00. We will leave the building at 2:00. The bus will be returning to the church building at noon on Wednesday. We are so excited to go. Dinner on Wednesday was Spaghetti, salad (with strawberries and grapes) and garlic bread. Thank you Marilyn Wilkins for the brownies. Sunday night we had an excellent devotion at the home of Mike and Mandy Cocke. We had a talk on character and how to build it. Hailey McKaskle volunteered to be secretary for fellowship groups. We really appreciated the hospitality of the Cocke's. Thank you again. So, from Proverbs, here's our Top 10 List of wise words for life: 1. Guidance "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). 2. Discernment "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12). 3. Confidence "Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared" (Proverbs 3:25-26). 4. YOUTH NEWS

Amazing group of kids !!!!!!!!!! On

Wednesday the group went to Closet

Treasures and picked up clothes for our

clothes closet. They made short work of

it by all working together.

Sign ups for the fall retreat are

coming to an end. The retreat is on

October 2 at 3:00. We will leave the

building at 2:00. The bus will be returning

to the church building at noon on

Wednesday. We are so excited to go.

Dinner on Wednesday was

Spaghetti, salad (with strawberries and

grapes) and garlic bread. Thank you

Marilyn Wilkins for the brownies.

requested batteries, flashlights, weather radios,

and water filters. Your help is vital to making

sure these needs are met! Funds that are raised

Churches in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix,

New Sister in Christ

Mariah Turner was baptized into Christ Sunday night after evening services. Her address is 1000 Liberty Circle, White Bluff. Let’s welcome Mariah into God’s family. Mariah has two daughters, Penelope and Modiana. Let’s all welcome to our church family.

In theHospital

Marlene Jackson is in Horizon Hospital in Rehab. Elijah

Donaldson broke his collar bone. Ann Mitchell had knee

surgery on Monday and is home recovering. Frances Western

is now home recovering.

A new policy is in place

for borrowing the gray

tables and the metal

folding chairs. A usage

fee of $50 will be

required and is

completely refundable

when the items are

returned without damage.
