The Oceans Clean Again, an Impossible Dream Made Possible

Abstract: Since 2013, the Ocean Cleanup has been developing technologies to clean the ocean from floating marine litter, in particular its more iconic form: plastic. In the past three years, in order to reach this ambitious objective, a lot has been done in understanding, modeling, and developing cleaning concepts. Dr. Bruno Sainte-Rose will present the latest progresses made by The Ocean Cleanup and the future challenges that will have to be tackled to reach this moonshot goal.
