Travel website names Basin Head best beach in Canada

Canadian travel website vacay.ca has named Basin Head Provincial Park beach the best beach inCanada, says Minister of Tourism and Culh.re Robert Henderson.

"Basin Head Provincial Park beach has long been a favourite among Islanders and visitors alike,- saidMinister Henderson. ·Our beaches are well known across Canada and around the world for theirrelatively warm water and beautiful wllte sand. They are also a key part of Oll' marketing plan, and abig reason why visitors choose to come here, so tlls award couldn't have been better timed:

The website recognized Bas;n Head for having the warmest water north of Florida and for its famoussinging sands. It also made note of the excellent on-site facilities. services and the nearby BasinHead FISheries MusetSn.

Other beaches in the top ten included Wasaga Beach near Toronto and Ingonish Beach in CapeBreton.
