CREDENTIALS

Living Energy has been operating in the Solar PV market for the past 8

years in retail built on the foundation of Director David’s 15- year track

record of successfully installing quality electrical and renewable energy

solutions.

Living Energy is a family business owned by brothers Ben and David

Lovell and is currently finalising the next phase of the agreement to

continue to act as Commercial Solar Delivery Partner for Enerven.

Previously this agreement was with SA Power Networks and was novated

to Enerven (their unregulated subsidiary) in December 2017 in line with

ring-fencing rules. We have worked with many large clients (SA Power

Networks, Enerven, AGL, Origin, Pike Constructions, CMV Group, Rural

City Council Murray Bridge, Bidvest (Bidfood) and others like Caltex and

Nissan Dealerships) and hence have excellent safety and quality

procedures given the due diligence checks we have progressed through.

In addition we are currently performing DC Electrical installation after co-

detailed DC design of 4.1MW of SA Water Ground Mount solar projects

under project profit share with Enerven as Commercial Solar Delivery

Partner.

We were excited to have been chosen to install the SA Power Networks

VPP in Salisbury SA in 2017 as well as our project prosumer cluster

project (3MW Solar & 1.8MW Energy Storage in a Residential

Development) with Axiom Pty Ltd planned for construction beginning

Q2 2019. We are Tesla Powerwall accredited and in the process of

getting accredited for Powerpack installations ready for our installation

of a 200kW Tesla Powerpack at Visy Board Pty Ltd (Gepps Cross).

Renewable Energy Projects with Living Energy as the delivery partner

will benefit from:

• Robust internal policies and procedures including Quality

Assurance Manual and Standard Operating and Installation

procedures

• Ability to handle a high volume of installations and large

installations like the 1.92MW currently underway at Visy Board

(Gepps Cross) whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus

• We are continuing to develop flexible IT and CRM systems that

enable prompt and seamless communication between our

customers and other stakeholders

• Strong track record with over 5000 installations and baseline

capacity to complete and commission 120kW of Solar PV Systems

per week in SA alone. This is easily expanded if required.

– Commercial: We have 3 install teams, each with a team

leader and can manage 3 commercial installations

simultaneously with ability on large commercial to install

120kW per week with ease. In addition, we have a great

This is of particular relevance with projects getting larger and larger as

we are able to use each other as a resource to manage fluctuating

requirements of peak install capacity. For example, in 2018, there has

been a 250kW installation and a 300kW installation occurring at the

same time as 1 – 3 residential installations happening per day, all

managed by Niki and Tina in the office who do an excellent job.

– Residential: In times of peak demand we have operated six teams

completing up to six installations per day and more recently have

been doing 3 installations a day in residential at the same time as

running large commercial installs.

• Customer focused organisational culture and effective

customer service protocols and values

• Technical experience and expertise in conducting commercial and

residential installations including PV and energy storage

• Our in-house solar PV and electrical expertise and access to our

in-house installation teams

• Learnings from current orders in our delivery pipeline of:

– over 3MW of Solar PV and 1.8MW of Solar Battery Systems

(Lead proponent to residential developers for ‘Glenlea’ in

the Adelaide Hills)

– 1.5MW Ground Mount Solar PV installation at SA Water Hope

Valley Waste Water Treatment Plant (sub contract to Enerven.)

– 500kW Solar PV Ground Mount + Generator in Q4 2018

(Lead proponent. Awaiting network approval)

• Licensing

– Electrical Contractors License - PGE – 211092

– Clean Energy Council Accreditation Number – A9068913

– Building Work Contractors License – BLD233571

• Insurance

– $20 Million in Public Liability

– $10 Million in Professional Indemnity – (this will be

particularly relevant in the battery storage space!)

We provide the unique combination of an engineering arm with an

installation arm that has the flexibility and agility of a family business as

well as the systems and processes of a large organisation.

working relationship with 4 other quality electrical

contracting businesses specialising in commercial solar and

3 additional ones specialising in residential.

PROJECT SUMMARY: Living Energy has been engaged by Energy

Aware for detailed design for construction of a 1.92MW Solar PV

installation with 200kW/360kWh Tesla Powerpack at Visy Board,

Gepps Cross SA.

The project which commenced in June 2018 and is on track to have

the 1.92MW Solar commissioned in Sep 2018 with Tesla

Powerpack installation to follow upon stock availability in Q1 2019.

Project is ahead of target for completion early September 2018.

“Living Energy was engaged by Energy Aware to install the 1.92MW

Solar PV System and 200kW/360kWh Tesla Powerpack at Visy

Recycling in Gepps Cross SA. We initially chose Living Energy for

the installation due to their reputation and experience with SA

Power Networks and other large organisation in the

commercial/small utility solar space. It is now evident as to the

reason why Ben and David have maintained the clients that they

have over the years. They look after their clients and are incredibly

professional and capable. We have had feedback from the

maintenance manager at Visy who in short communicated that he

has managed many contractors over 12 years, and believes that

Living Energy are the best contractor has worked with during this

time. They have been highly considerate whilst on site to our

operations and stringent safety rules. The progress on the project is

on track and we are very impressed with the workmanship &

communication.

The progress of the project and confidence we have in Living

Energy is strong and we are already on boarding them for other

projects we have in SA. I would not hesitate to recommend

Living Energy for any Solar/Storage projects.”

and construction has begun on civil and mechanical works. The DC

Installation stage of the project starts August 14th and we will be

completed early September pending scheduling of other site works.

Hope Valley is one of several projects completed, predominantly

installing all aspects of the project from DC, AC, network

connection and commissioning as the commercial solar delivery

partner for Enerven (previously SA Power Networks). Living Energy

was awarded the largest site of the 4MW rollout across 3 sites as

well as the fourth site, a 100kW Floating Solar PV array for the

approval status.

“Our business has already installed a 100kW solar energy system

and are now in the planning stage with Living Energy and awaiting

network approval to install a 500kW solar system with generator to

improve our energy management options and expenses long term.

We had an excellent experience working with Living Energy on the

first project which was purpose built and took into account the

needs of our business versus an off the shelf system. It was an easy

choice to work with Living Energy again as we know they will see

the project right through from planning to commission.”

“South Central Trucks recently invested in a new $30m dealership

located on Grand Junction Road at Wingfield. The dealership opened

in late 2015. SCT spent a large amount of time researching ways to

keep fixed overheads down. When your building for the future you

need to look outside the square. After much research on solar

panels, inverters, and a track record in respect to reviews of

suppliers we decided on the services of Living Energy. They did have

competition, but I was impressed from the outset with Ben Lovell

and the Living Energy team in their approach, products and

experience. But when challenged, Ben stuck with proven inverters

and solar panels rather than a cheaper option. Our initial calculation

was a 9 year pay back on a 100kW system, currently Living energy

will exceed their proposed payback time by as much as 24%, in part

due to 7% higher than quoted generation, as well as rising electricity

rates. The Living energy team also had a reputation in the

marketplace as designers and installers. I am pleased to say they

met every expectation, the installers were very professional, the

products are performing flawlessly and efficiently, and follow-up

from Living Energy has been superb. Thank you to Ben and the

team.”
