Scope of Work: Construction Documents for Architectural Package, FF&E Package and Wayfinding and Life Safety & Wayfinding Signage Package; Construction Administration and Presentation Graphics. Nine months were spent on site during construction for SDC for all buildings on site. Top: Exterior Rendering. Bottom: Overall site plan of the 1.6 million SF semi-conductor manufacturing facility built to design, produce and test electronic devices. This $4.2 billion dollar facility has been designed to achieve LEED Gold. With over 330,000 SF of cleanroom space, Fab 8 will be the world’s first 300mm fab designed for 22 nanometer technologies.

INTERIOR FINISH CONCEPTS
PAINT
The corporate colors have determined the overall palette for the Dana interior. The white paint is used for the overall wall paint with accents of shades of grey between white and black to add depth to the overall space. Blue paint is used sparingly to accent walls and matched to the corporate Dana blue. A second accent color, green, is added to align with the masculine feel of the space and add additional color to the interior.
FLOOR TILE
A stone will be incorporated in the design native to India, not yet determined at this time. The main floor tile is the driver of the concept for creating a dark floor to ground the space while lightening up the rest of the interior. The idea is to create a sense of different textures rather than solids or patterns. The main tile has a randomized look without being a crisp stripe. The same concept is seen in other finishes described in the carpet and laminate sections.
The porcelain floor tile used in the restrooms is slightly solid to offset the overall floor tile. A textured tile is used on the wall of the restrooms to add depth and lighten up the room from the dark floor. A medium shade of grey paint covers the wall space without tile adding a medium tone to the light and dark.
CARPET
The carpet selections follow along with the concept of the floor tile. CPT-3 emphasizes what occurs when texture is added to a solid. The angled lines in the tile pick up on the angles in the Dana logo.
CPT-1 and CPT-2 mimic the main lobby tile and introduce slivers of color in the Dana blue while keeping it toned down for interior use.
Minimal accent tiles of blue in a randomized pattern pull together the corporate identity; used in showcase areas such as larger meeting rooms and the board room.
FEATURE WALLS
The wood has been lightened up at the main feature walls for the main lobby and board room. Similar details used in the Ohio facility have been maintained by adding the metal reveals. Tying in with the metal reveals, stainless steel covers are added to columns and a small accent at the base of the reception desk.
A very small accent of back painted glass in the Dana blue added to the reception desk transaction top will really pick up on the logo and add a pop of color to the main entry space.
VCT
The dark grey tile aligns with the darker floors. Accent tiles of blue tie in with the accent carpet tiles and add additional detail at the vinyl flooring.
LAMINATE
A textured surface is incorporated into otherwise solid laminate colors at the cabinetry that will be emphasized in a vertical application and not detract from the floor or counter finishes. A wood laminate is used to match the feature walls and maintain an upscale look in the break rooms and alcoves where we have incorporated accents of the Dana Blue.
COUNTERTOPS
White quartz is incorporated into the reception desk as a solid to the wood veneer. Grey solid surface counters with blue accents add a small hint of blue into the horizontal finishes; a better solution than specifying an all blue countertop. An additional solid surface counter was added for miscellaneous areas such as copy rooms. The restroom counter adds variations in color and the look of a texture. The counter offsets from the white wall tiles and ties in the floor tile.

chicagos l a t e Scope of Work: Final College Thesis Project design of an interior fit out for three levels of an existing building located in Chicago. Inspiration for
the design of a bar and restaurant located in an artsy Chicago neighborhood was to incorporate elements from product design company, Droog Design and graphic images from installation artist, Tara Donovan. Integrating these elements results in a gallery inspired bar and restaurant offering conversation starter pieces for art seeking individuals, mingling and entertainment far more than any other bar and restaurant can offer. Additional artists to be featured for a given time by switching out the artwork displayed throughout the three levels resulting in reaching a wide audience.

designexperimental Furniture Design Idea: Creating a room divider for a residential or commercial interior that can provide more than one function. This Page:
Computer generated sketches show the development of the design idea. Consideration was given to the thickness of the divider, the width of the panels, the function of each individual panel and special features. Next Page: Top images shows the rendering of the finalized design. The design includes a shelf that folds out from two of the panels along with an extension. Unlike a typical shelf, this lies on the floor lifting any elements placed next to the divider off the ground and becoming apart of the piece of furniture. The last panel folds to be perpendicular to the others and provides a mirror for use when the divider is in use or folded up. Bottom image shows the custom graphics that can be put on two LCD screens.
