LAURON SALE BARN

Welcome to our 27th Annual Bull and Female Sale. We would like to express a sincere thank you to all our previous customers that have supported us through out the years and look forward to meeting new connections and friends.

As always, we strive to produce quality seedstock and stand behind our product, the female base cowherd is culled continuously to enhance top end maternal traits, performance, fertility, udders and feet, disposition and eye appeal. We spend time to select both walking and A.I. herd sires that will complement our herd so we can pass our efforts on to you. It’s always exciting to see calves hitting the ground each spring, watch them develop through summer, weaning and on to maturing yearlings. It’s a 2 year investment and labor of love from the time of breeding that cow to sale day to find the things that work and those that don’t. With the flood of sale catalogs that come to the mail box this time of year, it comes down to decision making and placing priorities on the needs for your bull battery, management scenario and budget. We are confident in our offering whether you require a calving ease heifer bull, high performance bull or fancy open heifer, we have something for everyone.

Our cattle are raised without creep on natural pasture conditions. All bulls are wintered together and fed a ration of silage, chopped hay, rolled oats and custom formulated bull supplement to insure longevity and future soundness. By sale day the bulls will have received Fusogard foot rot vaccine and booster, passed a semen test, updated weights and scrotal measurements and ultra sound results for carcass merits will be available sale day, check our website for updates. The replacement females will be palpated to insure breeding soundness. A few commercial heifers are also offered, home raised and a few sourced from bull customers and personally selected.

Ric and Linda Arthurs are once again guests consigners, with 5 head, they share similar management practices. Thank you to them for all their contributions leading to sale day. A special thanks also to Jim Whelan for lending a hand when needed, and to our own family members who have busy lives with jobs or schooling.

We are having a video sale with DLMS at the farm located 5 miles east of the Didsbury overpass off QE II on Highway 582. All Lots will be displayed outside sale day and you are welcome to view the herd anytime, we would be happy to tour and answer any questions. Check out the videos link on our website www.lauronredangus.com or DLMS. All cattle may be kept free of charge until May 1, and a charge of $3/day thereafter. Any animals staying are strongly recommended to be insured by the purchaser sale day. Delivery may be arranged at our convenience. If you take your purchase home day or within a week of the sale, receive $50 discount per lot.

The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made, no animal will be released from the premises until settlement is made. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. In the case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision will be final.

ceRTIFIcATe oF ReGISTRATIoN: A certificate of registration will be transferred when payment is made in full.
