Laura Mulvey believes that there is a sexual imbalance between hoe man and women are represented in the media. In the media, women are made to look attractive for the pleasure of men as our society is mainly male-dominated. Women are seen as passive and males are seem as active. This is evident through the camera work, specifically women who are ‘dismembered’, meaning that the camera focuses mainly on their body e.g. bum, chest etc.
