• Scientists thinks Pluto’s atmosphere will “Freeze out” so the team want to arrive while there is still a chance to “see” a thicker atmosphere

• The team leader of New Horizons is Jeff Moore

• The Principal is Alan Stern

• New Horizons saw bolder size clumps speeding though Jupiter’s faint rings

• The structure inside volcanic eruptions on Jupiter’s moon lo

• New horizons got a picture of two moons crescents and volcanic

• New Horizons found lightning near Jupiter’s poles

• Passed Jupiter on February 28, 2007

• On November 12 a cosmic ray or some other kind of charged particle caused the main computer to reboot

• Their engineering team is trying to find out why something keeps rebooting the main computer

• New Horizons has covered more than 80% of the distance from the sun to Saturn’s orbit

• New Horizons will pass Saturn’s orbit in 2008

• They want to finish the Pluto planning before Jupiter’s encounter team members move on to other projects

• They will recalibrate their instrument several times as New Horizons flies to the Pluto system

• Budget constraints will force them to slim down the team in mid-2009

• Since 1989 Pluto has been moving farther from the sun getting less heat every year

• New Horizons plans to land on Pluto 2015

• New Horizons still has over 2700 days until it gets to Pluto
